Position Title:  Associate, Communications, Media & Entertainment (CME) CoE

The BCC is now known as BCN (Bain Capability Network) with its nodes across various geographies. BCN is an integral and largest unit of (ECD) Expert Client Delivery. ECD plays a critical role as it adds value to Bain's case teams globally by supporting them with analytics and research solutioning across all industries, specific domains for corporate cases, client development, private equity diligence or Bain intellectual property. The BCN comprises of Consulting Services, Knowledge Services and Shared Services. 

 

WHO YOU’LL WORK WITH:


You will be a part of Communications, Media & Entertainment CoE (Center of Expertise) in BCN’s Consulting Services and work with individuals who are passionate about solving managements questions for the clients and developing industry perspective and products in the telecom, media & entertainment sector. The CoE serves leading companies across domains such as Wireline and Wireless Telecommunication, Cable and Satellite, Media and Gaming industry. The team is primarily focused on collaborating with practice/case teams on the development and deployment of industry specific analytical products and partner with case teams to answer strategic questions of Bain’s CME clients.

 

BCN CME CoE provides an opportunity to solve challenging business problems in a dynamic set-up working closely with global teams, acting as a thought-partner. Our teams work in a fast-paced environment delivering consistent and impactful results at scale. 

 

 

WHAT YOU’LL DO:


Take responsibility for the assigned work streams to deliver high quality outputAnalyze data to draw meaningful insights and build subject matter expertise in CME domainLead 1-2 analysts, under the guidance of a Project leader/ManagerSupport Project Leader/Manager with client communication, work planning, and team managementLeverage relevant analytical tools – such as Excel, Alteryx, Python and Tableau – to deliver insightful analysisCollaborate and contribute effectively in a team environment, and deliver clear and professional presentations to the team/team leaders/managersOwn up to professional development by consistently seeking actionable feedback

 

 

ABOUT YOU: 


Undergraduate with strong academic records and 2-5 years of relevant experienceOr postgraduate with strong academic records and 0-3 years of relevant experienceExcellent analytical and communication skillsComfortable looking for data through sources such as Thomson Reuters, Gartner, IDC, Factiva, etc.Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills, exposure to tools such as Alteryx, Tableau is a plusWith knowledge of company financial statements, basic financial terminologies and ratiosFast and eager learner – ready to ramp up on newer problems and topicsThinks like an owner – pushes boundaries of their own workExperienced on Transmission Tech such as 5G/LTE/VoLTE/M-MIMO optimization & related KPIs.Candidate should have knowledge of Pthon/LinuxUnderstands Telecom Optimization tools, CTR data, Network Performance metrics (PRB Utils, Throughput etc.), LTE/VoLTE planning fundamentals, and has a knack for analytics.Learning agility to internalize new ways of working, pick new analytical tools, and adapt to ever changing project expectations and client needsCollaborative working style, maturity, and confidence to deliver flawlesslyEagerness to learn the finer nuances within Telecom, Media and Entertainment industry
