Associate Commodity Manager
This position is responsible for supporting value generation, sourcing, and profitability improvement initiatives to optimize indirect and corporate spend. Close interaction and coordination with internal partners and external suppliers is required. Success will be measured on spend addressed, savings achieved, and working capital impact. The central challenge of the position is to capture value from indirect spend categories while meeting key business objectives such as service, quality, timing, security of supply and overall risk to Allegion.

What You Will Do:
Category ownership & planning : Partner with corporate team, business units, and regional stakeholders to support the management of an evolving portfolio of high-value suppliers and spend categories. Leverage market trends and intelligence to drive value and provide guidance to stakeholders and businesses.Lead the aggregation, normalization, and analysis of spend data to identify potential value opportunities across managed categories.Sourcing & Contracting : Serve as a full partner to the business in evaluating the existing supply base and advising changes to improve business value and reduce enterprise risk. Support sourcing projects emerging from annual category planning, incorporating evolving business requirements from stakeholders and market analysis.Manage the planning and launch of RFx events, leveraging eSourcing tools as appropriate. Ensure appropriate cross-functional partnering on process improvement projects. Quantify and report both identified and implemented sourcing project results.When applicable, partner with other functions across company to replicate projects with positive results.Develop and negotiate regional contracts that are commercially sound and provide optimum protection of company assets. Develop comprehensive implementation with stakeholders and end users.Coordinate and lead negotiations; help stakeholders understand trade‐offs and benefits of negotiation strategies/outcomes.Supplier Relationship Management: Foster relationships with suppliers to create short-term and long-term value for the company. Lead business reviews with strategic suppliers to ensure performance against contracted obligations and business unit expectations. Anticipate and minimize performance issues via use of key performance indicators (KPIs) and scorecards. When performance issues emerge, assist with identifying root causes and drive for efficient resolution of issues at hand by working across both internal and external stakeholders.Support indirect category team in new supplier onboarding processes and annual risk and performance evaluations of existing supply baseWhat You Need to Succeed:
Ability to travel up to 25% including internationalBachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Operations, Engineering or related field2 to 4 years procurement / global sourcing experience, project management, engineering, operations, consulting, quality, and/or analyst experience Proficient in the use of all Microsoft Office products, particularly MS Excel (e.g., excel pivot tables, macros, etc.) and PowerPoint Demonstrated competence in negotiating skills and assessing supplier capabilityCandidate must have demonstrated experience coordinating, facilitating discussions, consultation and conflict resolution skills with a variety of stakeholdersProfessional communication; both verbal and written are requiredExperience with IT Hardware, software and SaaS category managementStrong problem-solving skills and methodsStrong project management and data analytics skillsExperience with supply chain tools, ERP, GEP, etc.Why Work for Us?
