This position is responsible for supporting the new and remodel store programs. With training, guidance and direction from leadership, this position is responsible for visiting and assisting in the management of all construction activities for Tractor Supply Company (TSC) and Petsense projects assigned to them. This will include, but not limited to, estimate creation, plan development, bid review, contract development and modifications, pay application processing, project close out, and post project follow up. They will be responsible for ensuring all parties stay well informed, including clients, contractors, sub-contractors, vendors, employees, support staff, and internal upper management.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities (Min 5%) Under direct supervision, review and monitor developers, general contractors, architects, and vendors to complete construction and capital projects while meeting contract requirements and maintaining building requirements and schedules. Assist in the coordination, development, and maintenance of detailed schedules for construction projects. Support project management efforts utilizing project tracking and management tools to assist in the successful execution of construction driven initiatives. Under direct supervision, survey existing buildings with 3rd party vendors, and prepare scope of work. Complete review of the building, including roof inspection, HVAC inspections, etc. Create project budgets ensuring construction process and standards are followed. Review project construction documents against the established scope of work and communicate discrepancies to leadership, the architect of record (AOR), etc. Assist in the bidding process by reviewing/qualifying bids vs. the project budget and recommend best contractor for projects. Assist in the qualification of new general contractors. Track project permit submittals and permit status. Process closeout documents ensuring all items per the closeout checklist is complete and manage the 11-Month warranty process for all retrofit projects. Assemble, track and report warranty items and close out requirements, including status, age, and resolution for construction projects. Assumes additional responsibilities and assists the Construction Leadership Team with special projects and assigned duties. Required QualificationsExperience: 4+ years of related construction, architectural and/or facility management experience.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in construction or related field is preferred. Any suitable combination of education and experience will be considered.
Professional Certifications: PMP preferred.
Preferred knowledge, skills or abilities Must have excellent organizational and communication skills and the ability to interact with personnel at all levels. Must have working knowledge and ability to use computer aided design software (CAD), Enterprise Network and Project Management Software (Projectmates, Procore, etc.). Must be proficient with all Microsoft Office programs, Word, Excel, Teams, Outlook, etc. Must possess a valid Driver’s License and Proof of Insurance, and be able to acquire rental cars, accommodation on other incidental expenses common to out of town travel.
