Major Duties:

Supports the team manager in ensuring operational efficiency

Provides day-to-day support and guidance to more junior team members, support the Manager with respect to workflow distribution and ensuring the effective the use of staff resources

Identify, document and disseminate new procedures and controls

Carry out complex activities with regulatory compliance impact

May have direct interaction with committees and/or Senior Management

Able to serve as a key subject matter expert and mentor to other more junior level employees

May manage daily operational activities and supervise day-to-day work of junior level employees (but not a formal management role)

Technically sound in area of AML Compliance expertise and has broader knowledge of other areas

Able to perform various CDD functions (CIP Alerts, PEP/AM Alerts, Periodic Review) with high efficiency

Delivers a work product that requires less revision

Able to provide feedback to junior level employees when needed

Reviews client files for conformance with applicable AML policies, procedures and regulatory requirements and works with front office teams to facilitate queries

Provides support and functional knowledge as it relates to compliance with applicable AML laws, rules and standards.

Identifies and escalates to Global AML management any regulatory compliance risks associated with the file reviews completed

Performs continuous monitoring of customers including investigating Adverse Media and Politically Exposed Person alerts

Participates in all applicable training

Provide input to process changes which would result in greater operational efficiency

Direct liaison with both first line of defense (RMs), MLROs and auditors

Solves problems in straightforward situations

Analyzes possible solutions using technical experience and judgment and precedents

Impacts quality of own work and the work of others on the team

Works within guidelines and policies


Knowledge:

Excellent oral and written communication skills are required

Strong Functional / Industry Knowledge is required

Strong knowledge in multiple CDD functions is required

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are required

Be able to work as part of a team with minimal supervision

Requires organizational skills to coordinate with various stakeholders

CAMS certification is not required but desired

Requires expanded conceptual knowledge in own job discipline

Understands key business drivers; uses this understanding to accomplish own work

Explains complex information to others in straightforward situations


Experience:

At least 5 years of relevant experience

College or University degree

Provides informal guidance to new team members
