Profile summary:

The Investment Writing & Reporting Team’s core focus is to research and produce industry standard commentaries that primarily form an integral part of fund factsheets and other corporate wide marketing material. The team produces asset class based investment research commentaries for Portfolio Managers. Further, the team also compiles the Investment Reviews and Quarterly Ireland Fund Boards.

Job Title: ASSOCIATE CONSULTANT INVESTMENT WRITING

Principal Responsibilities

Research and produce asset class wise commentaries through analysis on macro-economic data, developments in global financial markets and political events impacting economies.Proactively adapt, strategize, communicate & execute on a day-to-day basisResearch, organize and write engaging thought leadership content, including commentaries, presentations etc. that reinforces the investment views and positioning taken by the Firm.Act as a writing and editing resource, ensuring high quality and accurate materials are being produced having understood the audience.Work closely with the stakeholders such as Portfolio managers, investment associates, marketing team, product and global distribution teams in order to develop new ideas and ensure alignment on content creation and messagingContribute to the broader Investment Communications team’s output including editing regular publications and quarterly commentariesEnsure consistency in the company’s voice, key messages and editorial style across markets, channels etc.Keep up to date with developments in financial markets and maintain a deep understanding of thought leadership activities implemented by our peer groupGood understanding of the regulatory and economic environment for product and non-product information in the appropriate geographical area

Skills / Experience

Extensive knowledge of financial markets and investment/financial concepts, with the ability to understand and communicate product strategyGood product knowledge and ability to translate that into thoughtful and engaging written commentaryExceptional writing skills to help create a wide range of communication materials for  various audiencesDemonstrate ability to capture complex ideas and express them in a clear, concise and engaging writing styleAble to work at a fast pace with strong attention to detail, highly organized and strong project management skillsConsistent, proactive and prompt follow throughStrong written and verbal communication skills, including ability to interact with all levels of staff and managementCreativity—able to recommend new and unique ideasStrong skills with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Word, Excel and  PowerPoint5-6 years working experience in a financial services firm/asset management industryMBA or equivalent / CFA would be an added advantage.
