Within our Science, Technology and Medical Journals (STMJ) group, we are looking for a Content Acquisition Specialist to join our team. You will work with our journals publishing teams to grow and strengthen a group of academic journals within a specific subject area. This position is a great opportunity to serve the research community and develop your career in publishing.
 

About the Role

You will manage the end-to-end publication process of special issues and work with guest editors and authors to ensure a successful publication. You will work closely with publishers to maintain a healthy pipeline of special issues for a portfolio of journals.
 

Responsibilities
 

Project manage high-quality special issues, working with both guest editors and authorsThrough effective communication, build and maintain relations with editors, (potential) guest editors and authors, as well as work closely with the content acquisition marketing teamDrive growth of the assigned journal portfolio by growing the quantity and quality of special content in line with the portfolio strategyDeliver positive contributions to overall team performance and process improvements.


Requirements
 

Minimum University degree, preferably M.Sc/MA level1-2 years of publishing experience and a good understanding of the academic publishing processStrong communication skills with an ability to connect with a broad range of people, as well as work well independentlyExcellent organizational skillsFlexible, analytical and proactive, with the ability to think critically about a wide range of research issues.Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
