Associate Contract Specialist - Procurement

JOB SUMMARY


This position is responsible for providing centralized contract support to the Charter Business Units (BU). Acts as point of contact within the Procurement Operations group to manage workspace creation in Ariba, DOA approval, final contract execution and ongoing support for the agreement going forward.


MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES


Actively and consistently supports all efforts to simplify and enhance the customer experience

Manage contract request intake process and supporting tools, assign contract-related activity to Procurement Operations resources

Organize and document work electronically through the use of a contract status log, electronic filing system, and entering into companies electronic contract management database (Ariba Contracts Management)

Assist with the management of Ariba Contract Workspace through all stages (creation, approval, amendment, signature)

Execute and distribute routine reports for the team and take action as required

Provide ongoing contract management support with direction, ensuring compliance with contractual requirements with both internal personnel and external stakeholders

Review and analyze contracts, verifying accuracy and resolving discrepancies in line with company policies and other requirements

Understand the overall service level agreements within the department

Work collaboratively to ensure goals are met

Maintain working relationships with internal and external customers to ensure their needs are met

Collaborate with Procurement personnel, Legal, and Finance to ensure contracts' compliance with company standards to manage risk and liabilities

Assist Central Contracts team members with administrative tasks involved in managing and reviewing contracts

Participate in project teams or special project assignments

Perform other duties as assigned and/or required

Required Education

Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience

Required Related Work Experience and Number of Years

Experience in contract administration - 0-3Experience in project management - 0-1

Preferred Skills/Abilities and Knowledge

Legal and contract backgroundFamiliarity with the Strategic Sourcing processExperience with Legal, Finance, and other inter-related departments

Preferred Education

Education in Law or Supply Chain Management

Preferred Related Work Experience and Number of Years

Contract/legal/paralegal experience preferred

The base pay for this position generally is between $55,600.00 and $88,600.00. The actual compensation offered will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. We comply with local wage minimums and also, certain positions are eligible for additional forms of other incentive-based compensation such as bonuses.
