COPYRIGHT PROGRAM OFFICER, Technology Licensing Officer, is responsible for the commercialization and management of a software portfolio (may include digital tools, training data sets, and AI models) and associated agreements; under supervision from a Senior Licensing and Business Development Officer, manages open-source release activity and supports a portfolio of software and related technologies; and trains other licensing team staff in relation to software, AI and digital tools management.

Job Requirements
REQUIRED: Bachelor’s degree; a minimum of three years of relevant experience in university technology transfer, federal lab or FFRDC involving management of software, open-source portfolios, including licensing, and developing marketing and commercialization strategies; experience with various software licenses and agreements, including open-source software licenses; superior verbal and written communications skills to effectively interact with various stakeholders; organizational skills, attention to detail and ability to manage simultaneous projects; problem-solving skills, judgement and decision-making capability; interpersonal skills that reflect courtesy, diplomacy, and a collaborative approach to develop and maintain effective working relationships; and ability to work under supervision in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented, matrix like environment. PREFERRED: Advanced degree such as a Masters or MBA or relevant professional education; technical understanding of software development life cycle; understanding of digital tools, training data sets, and AI models; knowledge of intellectual property, and demonstrated business acumen, general understanding of issues arising at the intersection of US Government and academia. Job #25017-8 Salary range: $90,000-$102,000 This is a hybrid position. Tuesday and Wednesday are the TLO in-office core days; additional in-office days are expected to meet business needs.
