Marcom is the creatively-led global team that oversees Apple’s consumer facing marketing. We ensure the flawless development and execution of world-class communications across all medias and platforms. Every day, hundreds of millions of Apple customers around the world interact with our products. We drive the strategy and creative work that provide both new and existing customers with simple, engaging and inspiring marketing experiences. Marcom's Design team crafts design deliverables for every event to deliver the world’s best aesthetic and visuals. We work closely with multiple groups across Apple and within Marcom to create engagement through visuals, introducing products and services to a global audience. We make the result beautiful, and the effort invisible. As part of the broader Design Team, Channel Design is responsible for crafting innovative and inspiring communications for Apple Channel partners worldwide. These include every retailer selling Apple products globally. We partner with many internal groups, including Interactive, 3D Visual Merchandising, Sales and Operations, Product Marketing and Strategy to create communications that promote Channel's initiatives both in-store and online. The Associate Creative Director, Channel is will help craft clear, compelling, inspiring, and beautiful storytelling for our products. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of design, can think strategically, and give the work purpose that pushes the needle through experimentation, critical thinking, and extraordinary attention to detail.
**Description**
As a team lead, you are an integral member of the creative team responsible for developing engaging channel communications across platforms, from in-store print deliverables to interactive experiences and on-device content. The role contributes to planning and art directing channel projects from ideation through delivery of production. RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE: Leading the successful creation and production of assets, following creative direction, product briefs, and driving long-term strategies. Working closely and with cross-functional partners, Brand, Product Marketing and Production teams. React quickly to new information to pivot the creative, whenever necessary. Owning the latest knowledge about Apple OS systems, Apple Software programs, and UI elements, along with the apps and other inspiration to keep content fresh. Brainstorming, coordinating, and collaborating frequently in order to bring to life the client’s key elements of design and art direction. Delivering persuasive creative presentations, communicating effectively across groups of the organization. Providing thoughtful guidance and inspire teammates to pursue new creative solutions while also being directly involved with the process.
**Minimum Qualifications**
+ BA/BFA degree in Graphic Design, Motion Graphics, or other related discipline.
+ 10+ years of design and art direction experience with 3+ years experience in people management
+ A portfolio exhibiting a thorough grasp of design principles, branding, typography and visual communication.
+ Experience with design software, specifically Adobe Creative Suite

+ Working knowledge of both print and motion graphics
+ Experience working on fully integrated campaigns, with ability to ideate and create innovative and visually appealing work across a broad range of media
+ Resourceful, with excellent organization skills to file work in a manner that can be shared with the team
+ Communicate and collaborate well among team members to find simple solutions to complex problems
+ Experience with 3D software, such as Cinema 4D
+ Guide and evaluate the work, and when necessary, redirect creative development
+ Approach design with curiosity and passion— with a keen awareness of the evolving landscape of available tools, technologies, resources, and trends
+ Effectively lead less tenured creative staff members, vendors, freelancers, etc.
+ Strong presentation skills, can articulate ideas in a clear manner, engage in healthy debate, and accept directional feedback.

+ At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $179,000 and $269,100, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple’s discretionary employee stock programs.
