The purpose of Caterpillar’s Engineering Rotational Development Program is to harness your ability and further develop you through rotational assignments and learning opportunities so that you may not only fulfill your career goals but provide excellent service to Caterpillar and its customers. Our Engineering Rotational Development Program enhances the experience of engineering graduates transitioning from student to full-time engineer. **Job Duties/Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:** **Product Design:** you will have the opportunity to direct and contribute to the development, design and manufacture of complex Fuel Systems components, subsystems, or processes while strengthening their analytical and engineering skills. They will partner with and be mentored by senior engineers on rotational assignments focused on injectors (Common Rail, HEUI, DIFN, MUI), engine brakes, and Common Rail fuel pumps. Assignments could be for new product and Reman products at Nuevo Laredo facility. Example job duties may include: support of product assembly and testing, support first test pass (FTP) initiatives, support product improvement projects, facilitate component drawing changes and releases, support validation of new components and new component supplier resourcing. They will be expected to communicate results in team meetings, through emails, and by presentations. **Embedded Software Development:** Develop embedded software in C, C# and/or C++ or model-based code (Matlab) for electronic control modules. Some examples of embedded software development applications include Datalink communications, Inputs and Outputs [Sensors and actuators], speed calculation, injection/spark timing, memory management, CPU optimization, multi-core design and implementation. In addition, some areas of work include developing scripts in Python/Visual Basic for automation. **Software Validation/Verification for Electronic Systems:** Verify functionality of a feature or control system algorithm on a HIL [ Hardware in the Loop] simulator bench or a SIL [Software in the loop] system. Understand requirements of the feature and/or the schematics of the controller/control system, verify functionality and debug/report anomalies to the development team and help validate fixes. Develop test procedures, test library management, automation, electrical measurements, and scripting. Responsible for testing software and hardware in energy applications including traditional diesel engines as well as alternate power sources such as batteries and fuel cells. **Required Requirements:** + Bachelor’s degree in , Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering + This position requires advanced English. + Recently Graduated (2022-2024) + Minimum cumulative Grade Point Average of 9 + Must be willing to travel and relocate domestically. + Project or Team Leadership experience + Excellent interpersonal and communication skills **Desired Qualifications:** + Previous technical internship/co-op or relevant experience + Involvement with a campus design/competition teams or related experience **Posting Dates:** February 11, 2025 - February 18, 2025 Caterpillar is an Equal Opportunity Employer (EEO).
