Job Description

The developer is a key role on a collaborative and agile project team and is responsible for the design and production of our world-class business systems. These systems satisfy customer and organizational business requirements and enable Expeditors to set the standard for excellence in global logistics. The developer understands business problems and opportunities, while applying technical skills to the design, development, and testing of applications and systems.

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).At least 2-4 years of professional software development experienceObject-oriented programming, analysis, and design.Component-based development with Java 8, Spring, Spring BootExperience with SQL and relational database design/developmentExperience with HTML, CSS, and modern JavaScript frameworks like AngularUnderstanding of Agile software development methodologiesExperience writing unit tests, integration tests, and end-to-end.Operating systems include UNIX, Linux, Windows

RESPONSIBILITIES

Ability to understand, code and write unit tests to ensure the delivery of the project.Collaborate with the Agile team and work as a team for the timely project delivery.

GOOD TO HAVE

Experience in Microservices architectureExperience with Maven, Junit, Hibernate/JPA, and IntelliJ IDEExperience with TypeScript, RxJS, and Jasmine TestingExperience with Event Driven Architecture, Domain Driven Design, CQRSExperience with Distributed Systems, REST API design, and Apache Kafka
