Associate Dining Room Attendant
Job Description Job Summary Plan, prepare, set up and provide quality service in all areas of food service including, but not limited to menu items, line specials, displays/ presentations of appetizers, entrees, side dishes, sauce, stock, and sandwiches in accordance with standards and plating guide specifications. Maintain organization, cleanliness and sanitation of work areas and equipment. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Associate satisfactionEnsures to deliver the brand promise and always provide exceptional guest service.Exercise responsible behavior always.Maintains positive associate interactions with good working relationships.OperationsMaintain complete knowledge of and comply with all departmental policies, service procedures and standards.Ensure that standards are maintained at a superior level daily.Maintain complete knowledge of Associate Dining Room capacity, hours of operation, proper table set-up.Maintain complete knowledge of all menu items, preparation method/time, major ingredients and quality standards of taste, appearance, texture, serving temperature, portion size, garnish, and method of presentation.Maintain complete knowledge of correct maintenance and use of equipment. Use equipment only as intended.Maintain complete knowledge and comply with all policies/service procedures.
Complete opening side duties as assigned:Check quality and amount of all stock and supplies using checklist.Prepare napkins.Requisition all necessary supplies and transport from storeroom to Associate Dining Room.Set tables according to service standards.Set up all condiments (butter, jellies, syrups, juices) and beverages (tea-coffee) according to service standards.Ensure a sufficient supply of all silverware, glassware, and chinaware for service.Prepare a display of all cold food items (cereals, fruits, and salads).Check cleanliness and condition of assigned station and service areas; rectify any deficiencies.Assist associates with food & beverage, engage in “small talks”.Anticipate associates' needs, respond promptly, and acknowledge all associates, regardless of if busy and whatever time of day.Be familiar with all hotel associates to overview the flow of people accurately.Handle associate complaints and always take them to the departments concerned.Monitor and maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of assigned areas.Clean and reset tables immediately after an associate departs.Remove any leftover wares from tables as assigned and transport to dishwashing area.
Complete closing side duties:Properly store all reusable goods.Breakdown all goods as specified in departmental standards.Clean all equipment as assigned in the side duties.Restock items for the next service.Remove all dirty linen if there is any.Stock all condiments.Reset tables for next meal period.Complete all closing reports as assigned.Exhibit a friendly, helpful, and courteous manner when dealing with all associates.Take ownership to represent the brand by applying brands standards on every occasion.
Standard ResponsibilitiesComply and adhere to the Rosewood company policies.Take on other tasks in addition to the ones stated, in a reasonable framework.Be a “brand ambassador” at all times and ensure brand integrity and clarity are always maintained.Model the company’s culture, vision, mission and core values at all times.Review Forbes / Rosewood Brand standards and quality standards (LQA) on a regular basis and ensure they are maintained and delivered at all times.Ensure new technology and equipment is embraced, improving productivity whilst taking work out of the system.Establish and maintain an inclusive environment by ensuring effective two ways communication processes are set up (individual reviews, regular departmental meetings).Lead by example in terms of appearance, mannerism, etiquette, behavior conduct, principles and values.

It is vital that all such information remains confidential and must not be disclosed to anyone outside the company, guests and associates, unless otherwise stated.
