About the Role

This position will see you leading evaluation of merger & acquisition activities in a leading life insurance giant!

Roles and Responsibilities:

Evaluate M&A financials and review valuation, for example:

Lead due diligence and valuation. Comment on the reasonableness of projection assumptions and ensure all associated costs are incorporated

Identify key levers of deal valuation and risk of transactions; and present the findings to group finance and local finance leaders

Work with Group Partnership Distribution and Group Corporate Transactions teams to review case proposal

Lead external consultants to review their work to ensure alignment with AIA standard.

Develop cash flow projections for case proposals

Recommend appropriate product mix according to individual target markets to facilitate corporate transactions

Deliver actuarial services to emerging markets and new markets

Complete actuarial projects, deliver quality services and share Group SOP to internal customers

Be point of contact for key partners and clients at countries and Group Office to resolve project issues and present project outcomes

Be a mentor to develop the actuarial talents in new markets


Work with countries on special projects, perform peer review and provide actuarial mentorship

Define the responsibilities and roles of group office and local teams

Develop efficient working approaches to deliver the target result.

Present results to group and local senior management

Work on ad hoc strategically important projects as assigned from time to time

Minimum Job Responsibilities:

Minimum 10 years actuarial experience

Qualified actuary

Practical knowledge of life insurance products

Self-starter

Strong technical skills and client management skills

Excellent project management skills

Good communication and interpersonal skills

Associate Director, and candidates with less experience will be considered as senior manager!
