Associate Director, Advanced Clinical Analytics

This role will be responsible for developing and implementing advanced analytics strategies for clinical data across global development. As Regeneron’s clinical footprint grows, we are obtaining data from an even wider array of sources. Additionally, we are receiving different types of data from new biomarkers to wearables. This position will contribute to the strategy for advancing our processes for finding, ingesting, cleaning and analyzing our data using techniques ranging from traditional statistics to the newest AI models. The position will have responsibility for both strategy and technical development, so there will be significant hands-on coding involved in making this position successful.

A typical day may include the following:

Lead strategy around advanced analytics (predictive modeling, machine learning, AI, etc) in global development while partnering  with cross-functional teams across Regeneron to execute the strategy.

Partner with leaders across Global Development to develop and execute on use cases involving advanced analytics such as modeling data for analysis; identifying potential risks in trial design or during trial execution and identifying correctable aspects of those risks; developing intuitive , dynamic visualizations that facilitate strategic decisions; automating manual processes such as protocol review

Develop predictive models to improve aspects of development operations, from protocol design to data analysis, leading to measurable improved outcomes

Be accountable for appropriate performance targets, report progress towards those targets, and proactively manage goal delivery

Lead initiatives with GDIT to build the necessary infrastructure (software and hardware)  to support advanced analytics, including vendor evaluation

Evaluate ideas for AI- related projects and , if appropriate, developing plans to make them operational

This role might be for you if:

Build up an internal codebase to take advantage of advanced analytic approaches, including developing use cases to test out new or vendor-supported solutions

Mentor GD colleagues to help them approach advanced analytics more effectively from both a technical and strategic viewpoint

Advise on policies related to advanced analytics, including but not limited to AI-related policies

Proven ability to work in a matrixed organization , developing and leading complex projects with multiple stakeholders while developing a network of subject matter experts

Familiarity with clinical data and standards

Effective verbal and written communication skills in relating to colleagues and associates both inside and outside the organization

To be considered for this opportunity you will have an advanced technical knowledge of Python, R, or another programming language with a proven ability to develop and implement predictive models. Experience presenting to and educating senior leadership. A demonstrated effective influencing and negotiating, good interpersonal and leadership skills, a team player. Self-motivated, works effectively under pressure. A track record of related academic publications is preferred. May require travel up to 20%

Salary Range (annually)

$154,800.00 - $252,800.00
