The Associate Director, Agile Sourcing, Strategy & Operations will be responsible for the functional strategy and project portfolio for Procurement’s Agile Sourcing (AS) sub-function. The role will support the development of strategies to optimize the procurement sourcing and contracting processes and drive operational excellence. This role involves collaboration with cross-functional teams ensuring alignment with organizational goals. This person will be responsible for leading and managing complex projects within the organization. The role will also support the evolving Procurement priorities, data and performance tracking.
Major Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
Project Management
Coordinating internal resources across functions for the flawless execution of projects.
Ensuring that all commitments are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget.
Developing project scope and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and communicating and tracking effectively.
Developing a detailed project plan to track progress.
Measuring project performance using appropriate systems, tools and techniques.
Performing risk management and identifying mitigations to minimize project risks.
Creating and maintaining comprehensive project documentation.
Facilitating and leading leadership calls with appropriate meeting etiquette and executive level presentations.
Sourcing Strategy Development
Develop and implement progressive sourcing and contracting strategies to meet procurement’s and business needs and drive efficiencies (operational, cost, etc.).
Analyze market trends and supplier capabilities to identify opportunities for innovation and improvement.
Collaborate with stakeholders to align sourcing and contracting strategies with organizational goals and objectives.
Agile Methodologies
Apply agile principles and practices to sourcing, contracting and procurement processes to enhance flexibility and responsiveness.
Support cross-functional teams in Agile Sourcing ensuring timely and effective execution of sourcing and contracting initiatives.
Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the Agile Sourcing team.
Operational Excellence
Develop and implement best practices and standard operating procedures for sourcing and procurement activities.
Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to track progress and identify areas for improvement.
Risk Management
Identify and mitigate risks associated with sourcing, contracting and procurement activities.
Develop contingency plans to address potential disruptions in Agile Sourcing service delivery
Ensure robust risk management practices are embedded in all sourcing and contracting processes.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements
Minimum education of a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Project Management, or a related field.
Minimum of seven (7) years of experience in project management, procurement, or related field with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
Strong understanding of project management methodologies, tools, and best practices with a proven track record of successfully managing complex projects from initiation to completion.
Prior internal stakeholder management experience and strong virtual team participation.
Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Microsoft Project, JIRA, Asana).
Demonstrated ability to collaborate across functions in a highly matrixed organization global setting.
Preferred Qualifications
M.S./M.B.A.
PMP (Project Management Professional) certification or equivalent is highly desirable.
Professional certifications (e.g. CPM, CPIM).
