Associate Director, Campaign Marketing, EMEA Private Markets
About the Role: Grade Level (for internal use): 11 The Role: The role of Campaign Marketer for Private Markets, is to design and execute integrated marketing strategies that drive awareness and demand for S&P Global Ratings content and product solutions relevant to Private Markets, including Fund Financing. Reporting to the Head of Global Product, Content and EMEA Marketing, you will work closely with your stakeholders across Commercial and Analytical teams to ensure a consistent message and approach for sponsors, lenders, intermediaries and investors within Private Markets. The Impact: In this dynamic role, you will be instrumental in shaping and executing marketing initiatives that resonate with Private capital market participants, including GPs, LPs, banks, law firms and other intermediaries. You will have a significant and lasting impact by providing timely content, thought leadership, and product information to these audiences via their preferred channels. Your contributions will directly influence customer acquisition, retention, and overall brand awareness for S&P Global Ratings in the Private Markets. The Marketing team has a variety of experience in Product, Campaign, Digital and Events Marketing, creating a rich base of resource and knowledge for you to learn from and contribute to. Your colleagues in the Sales, Product, Market Outreach, Analytical and Research & Development teams have deep expertise in the credit, sustainable finance and de-centralized finance markets respectively. You will also be exposed to a peer group of other campaign and field marketers from the other S&P Global divisions to align, share best practice and collaborate. Once fully briefed on accountabilities and expectations, you will be given a high degree of independence with ongoing support from the global team of Campaign Marketers and direction from the Head of EMEA Marketing. Responsibilities: Strategic Partnership and Planning: Foster a deep understanding of Ratings strategy, your market, competitive landscape, personas and relevant products to inform strategic decision-making. Join sales and investor outreach calls to bolster your understanding of the markets to inform GTM strategy. Research and understand the mediums in which your audiences consume information and use findings to inform your decision-making and budget allocation. Bring together your sector-relevant stakeholders - sales, events, investor outreach, and research & development in a regular forum to align on integrated marketing plans for our key target audiences. Campaign Management and Delivery: Create persona-based marketing campaigns utilizing thought leadership, research and product messaging to drive awareness and demand for S&P Global Ratings products. Use messaging developed by product marketing to further tailor messaging and materials for audiences as required. Partner with sales and investor outreach to maintain and grow the contact lists for your campaigns, always aiming for 100% mailability. Communication and Collaboration: Communicate ideas, strategies, and deliverables effectively to internal stakeholders. Collaborate efficiently with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and synergy. Manage day-to-day responsibilities, including campaign calendar, email distribution, sector webpage maintenance, and social media posting for your market. Plan and execute on S&P Global x-divisional initiatives where persona overlap exists. Partner with and support other marketing campaigns and activities as required. Analytics, Insights, and Improvement: Work with the Database and Metrics lead to develop and maintain analytics reporting across platforms. Analyze customer insights, market trends, and best practices to inform future campaign development and go-to-market strategies. Seek and recommend innovative ways to enhance key marketing metrics and improve overall performance. What we're looking for: Bachelor's degree in Marketing or equivalent practical experience. An S&P Global employee at this level would typically have 5-7 years in a campaign or field marketing role working in the Capital Markets (prior experience within Private Markets e.g. GP/LP preferred). Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to build collaborative partnerships with cross-functional teams. Experience with marketing automation (Pardot preferred, Marketo or Eloqua acceptable), CRM tools (Salesforce) and project management tools (e.g. Monday and Asana). Demonstrated ability to utilize market research and data to drive actionable insights to inform marketing strategy and improve the customer experience. Proven success with digital and offline media. Website management (creating and managing webpages, uploading content). Strong ability to manage ambiguity, and work on multiple projects simultaneously. Strong problem-solving ability, including metrics-driven thinking. Excellent organizational, time management and project management skills. Proven track record of being a team player, demonstrating respect for others, and leaning in when necessary.
