What is the opportunity?

This role resides within the U.S. Capital Adequacy Function (Team). The Team is responsible for managing the IHC’s regulatory capital and RWA calculations and reporting under US Basel III rules.  The team produces reporting and analytics focused on the IHC for the US region. The team also works on other initiatives (automation, internal reporting/analytics and capital optimization) in addition to the regulatory reporting duties. As part of the group’s core function, this position will involve production of external and internal reporting and analytics.

What will you do?

Produce accurate reporting and robust analytics, maintaining rigorous controls.Provide management support with a specific focus on Credit and Market RWA calculations. Develop, test, implement and maintain Basel III End Game reporting framework.Develop and maintain consistently accurate and repeatable reporting solutions along with robust analytics on a monthly basis and on an as needed basis.  Identify, communicate and resolve issues related to foregoing processes.Adhere to critical timelines for deliverables. Maintain documentation of and adherence to key processes, risks and controls.  Adhere to control framework and make sure all processes and controls are audit worthy.Drive optimization through analysis and by developing constructive relationships within and outside the Team:Deliver impactful analytics.Schedule, develop, test and implement changes to current processes based on changes to capital rules/regulatory reporting guidelines.Partner with Technology to implement system enhancements.

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have

Degree in a financial discipline (Accounting preferred) with strong analytical and quantitative skills.Bank regulatory reporting experience with Basel III capital rules.Experience producing and filing schedule HC-R of the FRY-9C report.Strong database skills and experience in analyzing large data sets.

Nice-to-have

Strong knowledge in financial products including fixed income securities, equities and derivatives.Capable of developing processes requiring independent decision-making and coordinating across multiple teams in a deadline-driven environment.Ability to apply rigorous review and challenge to methodologies, assumptions, and results/findings to drive quality output.Reading, writing and analytical capabilities commensurate with drafting of Business Requirement Documents (BRDs).Basel III End Game knowledge and/or experience (FFIEC 101 reporting).

The good-faith expected salary range for the above position is $110,000-190,000 depending on factors including but not limited to the candidate’s experience, skills, registration status; market conditions; and business needs.  This salary range does not include other elements of total compensation, including a discretionary bonus and benefits such as a 401(k) program with company-matching contributions; health, dental, vision, life and disability insurance; and paid time-off plan.
