Associate Director, China R&D IT

Job Description

This position is a part of the International R&D IT organization which supports the R&D business including Clinical Research, Clinical Operation, Regulatory Affairs, Biostatistics, Pharmacovigilance,
Discovery/Pre-Clinical, Medical Affairs, Real World Evidence in Japan, China, and Asia Pacific region.
The position will be operating from Beijing China.

This role is the Business Technology Partner covering the entire R&D area in China including Clinical Research, Clinical Operation, Regulatory Affairs, Biostatistics, Pharmacovigilance, Medical Affairs, Real World Evidence. This role is also the R&D China IT team lead, which manages 56 team members. Key responsibilities of this role include:

Provides facilitation for the design and implementation of strategic, aligned, and compliant digital solutions to support business strategyEnforces value realization activities are followed with prioritization of initiatives that maximize investment to achieve business outcomesCommunicates strategy and portfolio to key business stakeholders and facilitates buy-in across key stakeholders including all digital innovation initiativesContinuously manages regional/global Digital Technology budgets to meet annual profit plan targets; identifies and achieves cost savings opportunities on both capital and expense spendActs as a credible change agent to align the portfolio and roadmaps with the overall business strategyWorks closely with Product Line Leads to ensure the right set of products is being used by the businessBrings together the right stakeholders to ensure compliance and sustainability of solutionsPeople management
