Job Description
The Associate Director is responsible for providing all aspects of supervision to individuals performing adverse events (AE) case management activities within GPVCM in compliance with our Company Policies, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and guidelines. This position plays a key role in managing performance as well as providing career development opportunities and serves as a mentor for other members of GPVCM, under the direction of the GPVCM Regional Director or Executive Director. The Associate Director position is responsible for leading critical areas and project initiatives. Ensures effective interaction of GPVCM staff within cross-functional project teams as well as with key stakeholders and business partners to achieve business objectives. Responsibilities and Primary Activities (may include but are not limited to): · Works closely with direct reports to set priorities, develop career plans, conduct periodic skill assessments, coach for performance, prepare promotion recommendations as appropriate and provide ongoing feedback and annual performance appraisals. · Monitors and interprets performance metrics to ensure that Compliance, Quality and Productivity goals are met, and work-life balance is maintained. Evaluates complexity of tasks and projects to anticipate and adjust for obstacles. Identifies and implements remediation strategies as appropriate. · Provides technical and process advice to direct reports, ensuring they utilize appropriate resources for guidance. · Ensures structured team meetings with clear objectives and goals; facilitates meetings effectively and clearly communicates decisions and action items to team members and relevant parties outside of the team. · Serves as process or sub-process lead/team member to ensure adherence with SOPs and regulatory requirements. Effectively collaborates and communicates with team members within process space and across process areas to ensure operational effectiveness. · Initiates, governs or assists process or strategic initiatives improvement/redesign to improve GPVCM processes and deliverables. · Operates effectively in face of ambiguity and demonstrates leadership to drive progress. Works with Management Team Members to ensure that best practices are being employed across processes, including conducting post reviews to learn what worked and what did not, to drive continuous improvement. · Independently identifies gaps, proposes solutions and leads efforts to develop process and structure as appropriate. · Keeps abreast of process, technology, and regulatory changes both within and outside of GPVCM. · Participates in the recruitment process and hiring process as needed. · May participate in or lead cross functional initiatives outside of GPVCM.
