The Associate Director of Compliance is responsible for primarily reviewing CME/CE/CPD educational content within deadlines and with the highest quality. Specific tasks include, but are not limited to:Collaborate with content development staff, including Medical Education Directors & Program Managers, throughout program development to ensure adherence to Joint Accreditation criteria (ACCME, ACPE, AAPA, ANCC) including ACCME Standards for Integrity and Independence in Accredited Continuing EducationProvide compliance review of all supported activities and materials prior to posting to ensure independence, fair balance, scientific rigor, appropriateness for target audience, and compliance with accreditation criteria and standardsCreate CME/CE-certified activities that are self-funded by Medscape, including review, edit, and/or write brief overviews of clinical relevance of the article and posttest questions as neededRemain current on accreditation criteria and standardsProvide training, insight and guidance to other team members on department policies and best practicesMaintain friendly and productive relationships through clear articulation and an effective communication style with internal and external stakeholdersContinuously identify opportunities for process improvementComplete other responsibilities, as assigned WHO YOU ARE (SKILLS):A self-motivated clinician with broad therapeutic experience who has excellent time management skills and loves varied assignmentsA leader who obtains satisfaction coaching and mentoring others to reach higher levels of performanceA smart communicator and good negotiator who excels at developing and fostering positive team dynamicsAn attentive individual who obtains satisfaction in completing your work on time with minimal errorsA true team player who jumps in and tackles new assignments and constantly looks for ways to help the departmentSomeone who can maintain a positive attitude and high energy in a highly deadline-driven environment, and able to pivot quickly between tasks and adapt to rapidly shifting prioritiesEnjoys leveraging technology to make your job easier WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED (REQUIREMENTS):Clinical degree (PA, MD, RN, NP, APRN, or PharmD)Minimum of 3 years’ experience developing content in accordance with ACCME, ANCC ACPE, and/or Joint Accreditation continuing education requirementsMinimum of 8 years’ experience working as a clinician and/or in a medical education company, medical communications company, professional medical publisher, academic institution, and/or medical society or pharmaceutical company; online publishing preferredStrong background in adult learning principles and curriculum design (alignment of objectives to content to assessment); CHCP credential preferredSkilled in applying PhARMA, AdvaMed, FDA and OIG guidance on use of commercial support in continuing educationAdvanced skill level in Microsoft Word and PowerPointBasic skill level in Gmail, Excel and Adobe AcrobatAbility to work effectively and efficiently on shared networks/corporate applications (Workfront, Microsoft Teams)Excellent time management and organizational skills, with the ability to efficiently work on multiple tasks simultaneously in a highly deadline-driven environment, while taking into consideration stakeholders based across multiple time zonesAbility to work in cross-functional internal teamsSalary Range: $110,000 - $115,000
