Job Description The Corporate Strategy Group partners with R&D and Commercial leaders to advance our strategic agenda and support mission-critical initiatives that will make a real difference for AbbVie’s patients. As an Associate Director, you will work closely with management to advance our strategic agenda and support mission-critical initiatives that will make a real difference for AbbVie’s patients. You will report to the Vice President of the Corporate Strategy Group (CSG) as part of the Corporate Strategy Office (CSO.) Responsibilities: + Support strategic initiatives that will address mission-critical questions and position AbbVie for future success + Monitor, understand and prioritize external trends of relevance to the enterprise, and help determine how AbbVie should prepare and/or respond + Provide project management support for key strategic planning processes + Help communicate our strategy across AbbVie + Lead individual modules within complex, cross-functional initiatives, including driving the problem-solving process and supporting research and analytics, and distilling pragmatic recommendations for management consideration + Significant Work Activities -Continuous sitting for prolonged periods (more than 2 consecutive hours in an 8 hour day) Qualifications + Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or other advanced degree in a relevant field (e.g., Medicine, Sciences, etc.) preferred + Minimum of 2 years of experience at a top-tier strategic consulting firm, preferably with healthcare and pharma industry experience + Strong project management skills + Ability to lead individual modules within complex, cross-functional initiatives, including driving the problem-solving process and supporting research and analytics, and distilling pragmatic recommendations for management consideration + Highly collaborative, genuinely enjoys working hand-in-hand with the businesses to develop solutions that advance AbbVie’s overall mission + Strong communication skills, can comfortably lead meetings with mid/senior-level management + Sound business judgment + Drive, energy, and passion to advance AbbVie’s mission Additional information: AbbVie is committed to operating with integrity, driving innovation, transforming lives, serving our community and embracing diversity and inclusion.
