Role Overview
As the Data Integration Data Observability (DO) Technical Lead, you will play a critical technical leadership role within the Data Integration organization and be responsible for leading, expanding, and building core data analytical products to enable and support IT delivery teams in building analytical insight across the company.
Your primary responsibility will be understanding the customer's needs and priorities and developing solutions that align with business goals. You will collaborate with business and IT teams to help define and deliver the technical implementation for the Data Observability product. In addition, you will be closely cooperating with other technical platform teams, providing insight and feedback that will help drive the overall analytical ecosystem forward.
What will you do in this role:
Drive the technical implementation of the Data Observability (and potentially other) products within the Data Integration ecosystem.
Lead a team of technical platform engineers responsible for product development. Collaborate closely with the product owner to define a long-term vision and strategy for the product.
Prioritize a backlog, provide estimation, and ensure seamless delivery. Help create product roadmaps and make data-driven decisions. Familiarity with agile methodologies, user-centric design principles, and product lifecycle management is crucial.
Manage the operation of the DO platform, seek optimization, and help manage the overall cost of the platform itself.
Support the platform adoption by constantly and proactively collecting feedback.
Engage with key internal and external stakeholders to gain insight into short-term and long-term business objectives and delivery needs.
Participate in negotiations with vendors to secure favorable terms and conditions.
Retain and attract diverse, exceptional talent, fostering an inclusive environment. Encourage a culture of continuous learning, constructive collaboration, and innovation within the team.
What Should you have:
Minimum of 5-7 years of developing data pipelines & data infrastructure, ideally within a drug development or life sciences context .
A strong understanding of data pipelines, quality, governance, and integration processes is essential. Knowledge of data technologies like ETL, data warehousing, and data lake architectures is also necessary.
Proficiency in technical concepts related to data observability, such as logging, monitoring, alerting, and troubleshooting. Familiarity with data management technologies and data storage systems is beneficial. Cloud-native. AWS certified.
Strong leadership skills to inspire and motivate cross-functional teams. Ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders, including business users, data engineers, and data scientists, to understand their needs and deliver value.
Excellent communication skills to articulate complex technical concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders. Ability to translate customer requirements into clear, actionable product plans and roadmaps.
Understanding the business implications of data observability, such as compliance, data privacy, and security requirements. Ability to align data observability initiatives with business goals and objectives.
