What is the opportunity?
If you combine robust technical knowledge of data science solutions (ML, AI, Gen AI), model development cycle and a keen understanding of how these products can benefit the business you will want to consider this role.
As an Associate Director, you would formulate the roadmap for products that support RBC Investor Services stakeholders using Data science solutions.
In this role you will explore and operationalize sources using scientific, statistical processes and technologies to uncover and communicate product and business insights, opportunities and solutions with a keen focus on business value.
What will you do?
Exercise a Business-minded approach to data science products. With an ability to prioritize production-focused solutions that bring quantifiable value.
Produce insights that support informed decisions and actions by telling a convincing story and effectively communicate findings to business partners and executives.
Engage various teams to understand the areas where data science solutions can be best applied (time-to-prod and business ROI).
Have an entrepreneurial mindset that builds on the technical acumen and transforms possibilities into material changes in business operations.
Guiding the development and hands-on involvement in creation of predictive data models, quantitative analyses and visualization of targeted, big data sources.
What do you need to succeed?
Must have:
Undergraduate degree coupled with change management experience in complex programs with high frequency of requests and multiple priorities.
Demonstrated ability in written and oral communication skills along with strong presentation skills. Ability to determine the information and communication needs of the stakeholders and project.
Versed in practical approaches to segmentation, prescriptive, Gen AI and statistical analysis of data methodologies.
Coaching/Educating the team, stakeholders and senior leaders about the opportunity that advanced science presents and applications of models.
Nice-to-have:
Overseeing the acquisition and ingestion of data from structured and unstructured sources, while ensuring quality and comprehensiveness of data.
Leading data exploration and analytic projects and providing on-going coaching of big data topics (visualization, data mining, analytic techniques).
Exploring and implementing semantic data capabilities through NLP, text mining and machine learning techniques.
Review code in either Python, Java or shell scripting to support business needs and requirements.
