Job Description
 

Gilead's mission is to discover, develop, and deliver therapies that will improve the lives of patients with life-threatening illnesses worldwide. As an Associate Director of Digital Data Management, Data Strategy, and Governance, you will be responsible for ensuring the integrity of patient data by overseeing data management processes across multiple systems. You will bring strong business acumen to monitor data quality, enforce business rules, and offer cross-functional support for projects related to digital data management. In this role, you will serve as a trusted advisor to the commercial organization on all aspects of digital data.

*This is an on-site position based in Foster City, California

Patient Data Management: Oversee the aggregation, mastering, and maintenance of patient data, ensuring data accuracy and integrity.

Specialty Pharmacy (SP) Data Aggregation: Manage the collection and integration of SP data, including hub and copay data, into the overall data ecosystem to provide a holistic view of patient and prescription journeys.

Marketing Activation: Enable marketing activation using first-party, second-party, and third-party (identified claims) data for personalized and targeted marketing campaigns.

Data Privacy & Security: Ensure all patient data (PII & PHI) is handled in a privacy-safe environment, utilizing Cleanrooms or PHI Enclaves to pseudonymize data.

Data Onboarding & Activation: Facilitate the seamless onboarding and activation of patient and SP data to enable real-time marketing decisions and optimize media campaigns.

Data Analysis: Conduct deep data analysis to drive actionable insights for marketing and analytics initiatives.

Look-Alike Modeling: Utilize look-alike modeling techniques to identify new audience segments based on existing data for targeted marketing efforts.

Audience Measurement: Evaluate audience performance and campaign success through detailed measurement and analysis.

Media Activation: Activate media campaigns using insights from identified claims data, ensuring optimal targeting and personalization.

Hub and Copay Program Insights: Leverage SP hub and copay data to analyze engagement, medication adherence, and prescription fulfillment patterns to inform operational strategies.

Collaboration & Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, analytics, and technology, to support end-to-end initiatives.

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree and Ten Years Experience

OR

Masters' Degree and Eight Years Experience

OR

PhD and Two Years Experience

Preferred Qualifications:

Strong understanding of patient data management processes, including aggregation and mastering.

Experience in handling first-party, second-party, and third-party identified claims data.

Expertise in working within privacy-safe environments, such as Cleanrooms and PHI Enclaves, to pseudonymize patient data.

Proficient in audience segmentation, look-alike modeling, and media activation processes.

Experience in Specialty Pharmacy (SP) data aggregation, including hub and copay program data.

Knowledge of data onboarding, activation, and the ability to derive insights. 

Strong analytical skills with experience in data-driven marketing strategies.

Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.

The salary range for this position is: $177,905.00 - $230,230.00. Gilead considers a variety of factors when determining base compensation, including experience, qualifications, and geographic location. These considerations mean actual compensation will vary. This position may also be eligible for a discretionary annual bonus, discretionary stock-based long-term incentives (eligibility may vary based on role), paid time off, and a benefits package. Benefits include company-sponsored medical, dental, vision, and life insurance plans*.
