Faculty Rank or Job Title Associate Director, Enrollment Operations and Slate Manager Job Category: Administrative (exempt/non-exempt) Department Undergraduate Admissions EEO number: 24P298 Position FTE 100% Minimum Annual or Hourly Rate $60,000 Salary Band: UC S05 Job Summary/Basic Function: The Associate Director, Enrollment Operations and Slate Manager will play an integral role in the day to day support of Enrollment Operations with a focus on managing critical components of Slate to support Enrollment and Admissions. The associate director will serve as the lead for Slate event, report and query development to support Enrollment Management and Admissions needs.
The associate director will apply their skills as a seasoned, experienced database professional to diagnose and address issues of moderate to complex scope; deepening the capabilities of the Slate platform to meet the growing needs of all Admissions teams. The associate director will develop, deliver, and maintain template libraries, standard queries and on demand or custom reports within Slate. They will conduct on-going analysis of business processes to deliver solutions that align with the overall department roadmap.
The associate director will work collaboratively with team members within the unit, office and across campus to development and implement sustainable and efficient processes. They will play a pivotal role in documentation, training and testing for CRM related updates Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s degree and 5 years of experience in a related field with progressive responsibilities (experience should be in higher education, K12 education, business, IT) Excellent verbal and written communication skills Strong analytical and critical thinking skills Experience with Slate or similar CRM Demonstrated competency in using enterprise student information systems Detail-oriented and organized Effective problem solving and project management skills Preferred Qualifications Master’s degree Direct experience in higher education and admissions/enrollment management team Proven ability to work effectively with others to include prospective students and their families, current students, faculty, and staff in support of all enrollment management functions
Essential Functions and percent of time: Data management and technology support (60%) Manage workflows related to application and admission processes, and oversees day-to-day technical processes, including Slate forms, delivery, decision release, campaigns, portals, rules, and event/scheduler functions in Slate to effectively leverage the CRM for recruitment and admission Assist with the creation and organization of key documents and data workflows for Slate and other enrollment management software Build Event and event templates to support Enrollment Management Build reports and queries to support Enrollment Management priorities, maintain query libraries Ensure necessary data transfers between application, SIS, and Imaging systems Maintain knowledge in all aspects of SIS and imaging systems to ensure they are being optimally used to their fullest capacity. Serve as a backup functional expert for Banner (SIS), and Xtender (imaging) systems Manage system documentation, upgrades, testing, and troubleshooting. Develop and maintain department assets such as queries, workflows, Standard Operating Procedures, operations calendar. Serve as a manager for Slate functions to support admissions, recruitment and enrollment management
Leadership and Project Management (25%) Provide documentation, testing, and staff training for new features in Slate Play a pivotal role in the yearly update processes such as Cycle Prep and updates to Slate-hosted and external applications Partner with the Enrollment Communications and Marketing team to support accurate communications and messaging throughout the application and enrollment processes Prioritize tasks and manage team projects. Create an inclusive and collaborative team-oriented environment. At the direction of the Director of Enrollment Operations play a lead role in staff development such as coaching, development, team-building, delegating work and training. Lead cyclical training sessions for internal and external stakeholders. Manage assigned projects and initiatives. Support staff in developing queries, reports and forms in Slate Essential Functions and percent of time (cont'd): Application Process Management (10%) Process applications for all student types Ensure data integrity and authenticity of admissions documents Execute admissions decisions based on application material, internal process documents and Wright State policy Provide full support to the entire application process Assists with data entry, integrity, reporting, and analytics.
Other (5%) Support the integration of new systems and associated communications. Maintain an understanding of admissions policies, procedures and student data to inform strategies and tactics to best serve future students and the teams that support them. Participate as an active member of Undergraduate Admissions through membership on committees. Assist with on and off campus events and programs. Occasional travel and work nights and/or weekends. Complete special projects and duties as assigned.
