What is the opportunity?
The GRM Operational Risk, Enterprise Advisory & Oversight (A&O) Team is responsible for the development and implementation of the global A&O strategy and integrating risk management best practices across the global team towards achieving best-in-class 2LOD oversight and challenge execution. As a part pf this team, the Associate Director role supports the build out of Processing & Execution risk and executes on the BAU activities of the global A&O team.
This role works closely with the Director and Senior Director to support the implementation of the GRM Operational Risk Standards and risk management practices across the global A&O team. The Associate Director supports activities required to ensure that the Enterprise operational risk profile demonstrates a fair an accurate representation of operational risk exposure and provides independent and objective operational risk management insights.

Ensure alignment with OR standards, processes and tools for multiple operational risk management programs to support execution of A&O procedures and mandateSupport strategy and roadmap for the Advisory & Oversight team including execution of an integrated approach globally on specific requirementsExecute on various aspects of A&O’s operating model to meet business as usual deliverables and risk management needsProvide seasoned subject matter expertise to support the execution of operational risk procedures across the global A&O teamsEnable Oversight and challenge practice and set best practices Across Advisory & Oversight Team
Coordinate with the GRM GRO model to support execution of A&O oversight and challenge on specific practicesBuild relationships with relevant stakeholders across GRM Operational Risk, functions and the various lines of business, to learn best practices and progress the teams vision and approach towards improved data management, automation, dashboards, and insights.Partner with global A&O teams to assess effectiveness of ORM programs to gain assurance on current and emerging issues i.e. quality programReview and assess output from operational risk management programs and practices to support accurate view of the Operational Risk ProfileSupport a global view of key risk indicators, operational risk data to provide management insights and to ensure accuracy of inputs into OR profile (primarily supporting processing and execution risk)Support Senior Director in independent, thematic reviews and/or emerging risk assessments to increase awareness of risk exposuresSupport ad-hoc projects and initiatives as assigned by senior team members, gaining exposure to various aspects of operational risk management practices (i.e. support of Change Initiative Risk Assessment tracking, reporting and policy adherence).Review and assess external data (ORX, Industry Events, etc.) to identify applicable events, trends and themes and lessons learnedEnable regulatory change, OR governance and reporting
Provide analysis and monitoring of the key control environment information and related assessments results Develop and analyze operational risk profiles and exposuresSupport Director / Senior Director as required with information to respond to regulatory requests, and providing required content/ analysis for senior managementConsolidate operational risk-related dashboards and leverage or data analytics, to support management insights and decision-makingCreating cross enterprise / horizonal review results for the global A&O team and interfacing with working groups as appropriateWhat do you need to succeed?
Must-have
Experience in risk management or related field, knowledge of banking products and processes, and regulatory environmentExperience in working in a matrixed environment, and coordination of work involving with a large number of stakeholdersExperience in procedure execution and quality monitoringStrong analytical, organization, communication, and presentation skillsData mining and reporting skills, with the ability to explore new technologies to enhance operational risk management governance & reporting processesBasic proficiency in data manipulation, analysis, and automation tasks.Undergraduate DegreeNice-to-have
