Dynamic and detail-oriented Associate Director, Injectables Forecasting and Reporting to lead and enhance our forecasting, budgeting, and business planning processes for both base and pipeline products in the injectable pharmaceuticals segment. Will also oversee management reporting, encompassing financial, operational, and strategic metrics, to support cross-functional teams and executive leadership. This position requires a good understanding of the injectable pharmaceutical market, exceptional analytical skills, and a proactive approach to process optimization.
Responsibilities:
Forecasting & Business Planning
Lead the development and maintenance of accurate financial forecasts for base and pipeline products, incorporating market trends, competitive intelligence, and internal inputs.
Partner with cross-functional teams (sales, marketing, supply chain, R&D, demand planning) to align forecasts with commercial strategies and operational goals.
Own the budgeting and long-range planning processes, ensuring alignment with business objectives and market dynamics.
Develop scenario planning models to support decision-making under varying market conditions.
Management Reporting
Deliver comprehensive and timely management reports, including sales performance, market share analysis, and budget adherence.
Provide insights on variances between actual and forecasted performance, identifying key drivers and recommending corrective actions.
Design and automate reporting tools and dashboards to improve visibility and accessibility of critical metrics for stakeholders.
Prepare materials for executive leadership reviews, highlighting key trends, opportunities, and risks.
Pipeline Planning & Analytics
Collaborate with R&D and portfolio management teams to integrate pipeline products into long-term forecasts.
Evaluate market potential for pipeline products and develop pre-launch forecasting models.
Support pricing strategies by analyzing market data and competitive positioning.
Process Improvement & Leadership
Identify and implement process improvements to enhance forecast accuracy, efficiency, and scalability.
Train and mentor team members on forecasting methodologies, data analytics, and reporting best practices.
Act as a subject matter expert on forecasting and reporting tools, ensuring effective utilization across the team.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in business, Finance, Economics, or a related field. MBA or advanced degree preferred.
Minimum of 7 years of experience in forecasting, budgeting, and reporting within the pharmaceutical industry, with a focus on generic injectables preferred.
Demonstrated expertise in using forecasting and reporting tools (e.g., SAP, BPC, Power BI, Tableau, or similar).
Familiarity with market dynamics, pricing strategies, and regulatory considerations specific to injectables.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to distill complex data into actionable insights.
Proficiency in Excel and other advanced analytics tools.
Leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop talent.
