Associate Director, Gross to Net, ComOps Finance, USA

The Position:

As a member US Commercial Finance Team, the Associate Director, Gross to Net (GtN), US Commercial Finance oversees all aspects of Gross to Net forecasting, analysis, and reconciliation for our US Commercial Operations:

• Own entire GtN process for the US business ensuring accurate revenue recognition.

• Collaborates with Pricing & Contracting, Marketing, Healthcare Systems and Commercial Operations to support our goals and improve outcomes.

• Mentor Team members, providing guidance and professional development opportunities, encouraging a collaborative environment that creates results.

Responsibilities:

• Gross to Net Forecasting & Analysis: Lead the Gross to Net forecasting process for the US business, including the development of accurate projections for rebates, chargebacks, discounts, mix and channel inventory.

• Pricing and Contracting: Offer insights into customer pricing agreements, including rebate and discount structures, to assess financial impact and improve outcomes.

• Teamwork: Collaboration with Pricing & Contracting, Marketing, Healthcare Systems and Commercial Operations to support our goals and provide relevant insights into the G2N process.

• System & Process Optimization: Contribute to the enhancement of systems and tools used to report Gross to Net. Deliver improved automation and data accuracy.

• Partner Communication: Present detailed Gross to Net analysis and variance reports to senior management, providing clear explanations of revenue trends, potential risks, and opportunities for improvement.

• Support delivery of the Finance Strategy and have collective ownership for Global Finance team development plans. Manage without formal authority in matrix environment.

• Internal Control: Provide external financial audit support at half-year and full year, including preparation of documentation and analysis, and working with auditors to provide business insight for items as requested and resolution of issues raised observing agreed timelines. Support ensuring that financial processes follow CSL policies and that proper controls are in place, as applicable.

• Team Leadership & Development: Manage a team, providing guidance and professional development opportunities. Foster a collaborative environment that inspires results.

Requirements:

a. Bachelor’s degree with major(s) in Finance, Accounting, or other related Business field, including Economics, Business Administration, etc. Master's in Business Administration and/or professional certification (e.g., CPA or CMA) preferred.

b. 10+ years of experience in financial planning and analysis or business analysis, in the pharmaceutical industry.

c. 3+ years in commercial finance in a business facing role where there is demonstrated understanding of the value chain in the US life sciences.

d. Brilliantly curious and openness to explore new technology, process improvements. Collaborate with multiple levels and across teams within a region.

e. Expert level Excel incl. data analysis functionality, good skills in other MS-Office applications; SAP S/4 and Business Intelligence / Financial Consolidation applications (e.g. BW/BI, SAP BPC, SAC) and QlikView / QlikSense / Power BI / Tableau. Model N would be advantageous.
