Job Description

The Associate Marketing Director for Ulcerative Colitis (UC) personal promotion will be a primary conduit from Marketing to the field sales team.  The Associate Marketing Director will utilize customer and field insights to develop co-positioning strategies and tactics for direct and personal promotion to HCPs for the SKYRIZI and RINVOQ brands which are impactful, executable, easily communicated, and financially supported. The individual in this position must demonstrate leadership without direct authority and strong competence in personal promotional channels, while advocating for HCP customer needs by coordinating efforts across internal and external stakeholders.  

Key Responsibilities:

Understand the unmet needs of UC sales team as primary audience of marketing deliverablesAnalyze trends and data to generate insights, enhancing strategic development and execution for UC portfolio marketing plans which achieve business objectives and goals driven by sales forceCollaboratively influence marketing leaders and colleagues, internal cross-functional teams (Legal, Regulatory, Medical and MABI), field-based sales teams, and external vendors to ensure effective strategic and tactical integrationMaintain a forward-thinking awareness of competitive landscape, including sales force SOV, and agility in AbbVie portfolio positioningLead creative agency scopes of work and manage budgets for key projects such as interactive detail aids and associated training playbooks
Qualifications
BA/BS requiredMinimum 5 years of pharmaceutical industry experienceAt least 3 years of marketing experience with track record of leadership without direct authorityStrong communication skills, both oral and written, with the ability to make influential presentations to internal and external customers, sales teams, and senior managementStrong creative and conceptual thinking skillsStrong interpersonal skills with adaptability to evolving matrix marketing roles and responsibilities

The compensation range described below is the range of possible base pay compensation that the Company believes in good faith it will pay for this role at the time of this posting based on the job grade for this position. Individual compensation paid within this range will depend on many factors including geographic location, and we may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range.
