Role Overview:  

 

This role is responsible for the internal and external communications and change strategies for our company Hyderabad Technology Center, reporting directly to the Executive Director of IT Strategic Communications and Organizational Change Management. You will partner with the Tech Center leadership team to establish the strategic messaging narrative of the Center to drive engagement and establish culture for employees internally as well as the brand and reputation of our company externally.  

 

As part of the Global IT Strategic Communications and Organizational Change Management team, you will work closely with our network of regional, divisional and global communications and change colleagues to activate integrated communications and strategies and help tell the authentic story of our Tech Center internally and externally, and help teams understand and advance change. You will work with people at every level to develop communication plans and deliverables that engage and educate our diverse employee population and support a culture of transformation.  

 

The Associate Director, IT Communications and Organizational Change Management must be a passionate and creative storyteller who is comfortable with operating and driving initiatives within complex, matrix organizations and influencing without authority to foster a culture of connection, engagement and belonging. This position requires a strategic communications and change leader experienced in various communications and change disciplines to support divisional needs. This role must implement an integrated, holistic approach, be willing to test new engagement channels, and have a strong ability to coach and guide leaders as well as foster connections and build networks externally.  

 

What will you do in this role: 

 

Internal Communication & Employee Engagement 

 

Establish the strategic narrative of the Hyderabad Tech Center and deliver a communications plan that engage and inspire employees, connecting the IT organizations' priorities and principles with the brand and culture of the Hyderabad Tech Center. 

Develop communication plans that think long-term, tying multiple communication moments together into broader strategies. 

Serve as a trusted communications partner and strategic advisor to the local leadership team in shaping and driving communications opportunities and synergies.  

Drive consistency in all messaging, advancing our Company’s global corporate narrative to inspire and inform local employees regarding our purpose and priorities. 

Serve as a strategic content developer who shapes communications opportunities to drive employee engagement in our company Hyderabad Tech Center.  

Partner with key stakeholders across the IT organization and relevant sub-divisions to understand the value of our products and solutions and communicate them to key internal stakeholders. 

Research, write, edit, and publish communications with an obsession for quality and accuracy. 

Advance storytelling efforts across global and division audiences by developing journalistic outcome-focused success stories centered on the business, strategic programs, and enhancing connections with senior leadership. 

Ensure communications are compelling and aligned with our desired voice and tone.  

Counsel and support business functions and senior leaders on their internal communication needs. 

Routinely measure and report to stakeholders regarding the impact of communications. 

Counsel and support senior leaders on their internal and external communication needs. 

Plan, manage and execute internal events on behalf of divisional leadership (e.g., Town Halls, sharing sessions). 

Help identify opportunities to connect employees within our Company India Tech Center and develop key messages and communication material to support those programs. 

Help foster a positive and inclusive company culture that encourages collaboration within the team and beyond. 

 

External communication 

 

Develop LinkedIn strategy for our company Hyderabad Tech Center leaders, in alignment with broader IT LinkedIn strategy.  

Develop external strategy and materials (e.g. third party event materials, industry and university engagement, award submissions, website copy, etc.) and ensure alignment with global guidance. 

Identify and cultivate relationships with key stakeholders, including media outlets, key opinion leaders (KOLs), agencies, industry forums, and other relevant parties as appropriate. 

Work closely with global team members to plan and execute targeted media interviews or press events.  

Develop and execute crisis communications strategies and protocols to effectively manage and protect our Company reputation, in alignment with global guidance.  

 

What Should you have: 

 

8-10 years of experience in communication, journalism, or social media. 

5-7 years of experience in technology communications and change management. 

5-7 years of experience developing communications campaigns requiring visuals, graphics, and multimedia using a variety of digital platforms. 

Brilliant short and long-form writing and storytelling skills, capable of capturing the authentic voice in written communication. 

Strong project management skills and proven ability to manage multiple projects at once in a fast-paced, collaborative, deadline-oriented environment. 

Able to quickly grasp information and develop clear communication with minimal guidance. 

Outstanding attention to detail. 

Self-motivated individual requiring minimal direction. 

Proven ability to develop successful working relationships with senior executives. 

Expert judgment in critical decision-making on issues impacting reputation. 

Portfolio of work demonstrating the ability to tell complex stories in relatable terms. 

Passion for technology with digital, cloud, and transformation experience. 

Experience with visual storytelling, video production, and social media. 

Team player who is willing to roll up their sleeves to get the job done and thrives in a collaborative environment where you must partner cross-functionally. 

Able to work with all levels of employees, including senior leaders. 

Able to exercise high judgment and deliver results, particularly in narrow timeframes. 

Enjoys working in a fast-paced, highly matrixed organization. 

Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Creative Studio, Poppulo, and SharePoint.
