Associate Director, Major Gifts Fundraising
Habitat for Humanity International is looking for a professional who will be responsible for driving growth in funding from major gifts across the Asia and the Pacific (AP) region to support the mission of Habitat for Humanity. Reporting to the Director of Resource Development – AP, the Associate Director for Major Gifts Fundraising leads implementation of donor-focused engagement and marketing strategies to engage major donors or high net worth individuals (HNWIs). This position will lead in managing and cultivating relationships with current donors and profiling and promoting Habitat to prospective new donors.

The position will be based in Metro Manila, Philippines, however Habitat is open to local candidates to be based in other Asia-Pacific locations where Habitat has an office or operating presence.

Candidates must be currently eligible to work in the country without sponsorship. The successful candidate will be offered a local country-based compensation, and will be based on a one (1) year fixed term contract that will be subject for renewal depending on the availability of the funds.

The work arrangement for this position is hybrid, and on a flextime schedule.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:


Strategy (10%)Working closely with the Director and with the wider AP team, lead implementation of the strategy and develop a strong value proposition to interest and engage major donors (HNWIs) in the Asia Pacific to support the mission of Habitat for Humanity.Support engagement through Asia-Pacific Development Council (APDC) of senior business leaders and long-term supporters of Habitat. Develop and execute plans to leverage the network of the APDC to support implementation of the strategy.
Profiling (30%)Represent Habitat in external meetings, conferences and events and be a passionate ambassador for the organization and our work in Asia and the Pacific, participating and speaking at external events to promote key initiatives.Work collaboratively with the team at the Asia-Pacific office to drive profiling and promotion, while working with colleagues across the Habitat network (global/regional/national) to support major donor fundraising efforts.Work closely with the AP teams and with the Global Communications Team to develop high quality, attractive pitches and donor-specific marketing tools. Strengthen Habitat’s donor-relevant data and analytics.
Donor Engagement (30%)Manage relationships with existing and prospective major donors, proactively pursuing networking opportunities and establishing meaningful relationships. Ensure the APDC is strategically engaged in cultivating relationships.Provide strategic support in donor relations management across various resource development teams in the countries and the Global Funding Network (GFNs) to ensure effective stewardship of donor relationships.
Income Generation (30%)Lead development and growth of a strong pipeline of HNWIs working with our GFNs, building internal capacity and through systematic prospecting activities.Work closely with country teams and the GFN network to pull together compelling program and project information for presenting proposals to attract and secure funding.Secure 6-figure gifts to fund Habitat’s programs across the Asia-Pacific region and contribute to meeting annual revenue goals and be accountable for individual and team KPIs.

Minimum Requirements:
Education:
Bachelor’s degree (Masters preferred)Years of Related Experience:
8+ years of proven track record in marketing and/or fundraising from individuals in the Asia-Pacific region, with at least 3 years in a management role. Direct experience in engaging High Net Worth Individuals.
