We are looking for an experienced and dedicated medical leader that will be leading our Nordic Medical Lead Oncology & Hematology Team. As the leader of the Nordic Medical Oncology & Hematology team, your primary responsibility will be to deliver medical leadership and strategic direction on Oncology & Hematology brands and pipeline in Denmark, Finland, Norway and Sweden.  Additionally, you will lead a team of medical professionals, and be responsible for their coaching and development, and support their planning and execution of medical deliverables.

This role can be held in any of the four Nordic countries; Denmark, Finland, Norway or Sweden, and will be reporting into the Nordic Executive Medical Director.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

Lead and develop the overall medical strategy for the Oncology & Hematology portfolio and work as required on the successful launch of Lilly’s Oncology & Hematology pipeline in the Nordics countries.Lead, coach and develop direct reports and support the executing the medical strategy and operational plans, delivering high performance with high integrity.Accelerate and measure impact of medical tactics and plans to close scientific gaps and clinical care gaps.Lead the medical team and affiliates through the annual planning processes and Business Plan process.Lead and shape the future of our portfolio strategy and facilitate the development and implementation of medical innovation plans including omnichannel engagements.Develop strong working relationship with Global Medical Affairs, the IBU (regional) Business Unit, the Nordic Oncology Lead Team and the local the cross-functional brand teams to deliver consistent results.Develop strong working relationship with cross functional leaders and peers, including Brand Leaders, Price Reimbursement & Access (PRA), Clinical Development Organisation and Real-World Evidence.Responsible for medical OPEX and allocation of resources with therapeutic area to meet financial targets/plans.Ensure that all medical programmes are 100% compliant to Nordic Codes of Practice and Lilly procedures.Ensure support and partnership with the clinical development organization to attract and execute Oncology & Hematology trials across the Nordics.Develop partnerships with Key Stakeholder in the Nordic Oncology & Hematology health care systems

BASIC REQUIREMENTS:

Advanced degree, (i.e., PhD, MD, PharmD, MPharm) in clinical human health area and/or life scienceFormal leadership experience from medical affairs or other relevant functions within pharmaceutical or life science industryFew years of medical affairs experience in the therapy area of Oncology and/or Hematology, with deep scientific understanding and medical expertiseGood understanding of Nordic Health Care systems and infrastructureFluent in English and local language, verbal and written communicationStrong teamwork and interpersonal skills, with ability to build professional working relationship and rapport with peers, team members and external/internal stakeholders.

PREFERENCES & ADDITIONAL INFO:

Experience from clinical research and Real-World Evidence is a benefit.Experience and interest in omnichannel engagement, including digital channels.

This role will require the ability to travel, both domestic and international to the degree appropriate to support the business and the team.
