Associate Director, Oncology Compliance
Job Description We are enhancing our US Oncology Office of Ethics and Compliance (OEC) team to deliver exceptional results and support our business growth. As the Associate Director, OEC, you will foster a culture of integrity and ethical behavior across the Oncology TA. You will be the OEC champion in one or more US Oncology Franchises and will have other OEC matrix responsibilities. You will establish strong alliances and collaborate with OEC, Legal, Commercial, R&D & Medical Affairs + Health Impacts, and other risk and assurance colleagues to fulfill your objectives. Responsibilities: + Be a trusted advisor + Serve as the primary OEC partner and subject matter expert to a diverse stakeholder pool, including Commercial and Medical Affairs + Health Impacts colleagues in assigned Oncology Franchises. + Be the OEC lead in key pan-Franchise initiatives (e.g., be the point of contact across all Oncology Franchises for new or less established field roles) or governance groups (e.g., coordinate with other risk and assurance partners the implementation of plans, reviews, and dashboards). + Demonstrate business acumen, issue spotting skills, a solution-driven mindset, and a comprehensive understanding of industry practices, AbbVie, and our science. + Establish relationships and working practices that help drive effective time management and consistent implementation of advice and controls across all Oncology Franchises. + Utilize data analytics to inform assessments, advice, and decision making + Synthetize and communicate complex issues and analyses both orally and in executive presentations, proposing data-informed recommendations that take into account business needs and risks. + Improve our compliance environment through written standards, risk assessments, and learning plans + Take initiative to propose and work independently to pull through OEC projects, assessments, and reviews aiming to improve the quality of our guidance, governance or controls. + Plan, draft, and implement written OEC guidance and training materials that enable our business, mitigate risks, and promote harmonization of standards and understanding within the Oncology TA. + Test our controls + Lead Franchise-specific OEC risk assessments and propose and execute monitoring plans that synergize with other relevant testing programs + Conduct root-cause analysis, test relevant hypotheses, and probe potential systemic issues. + Drive accountability and support business colleagues in implementing remediation plans. Qualifications + BA/BS required. CPA, Master's, JD, or equivalent work experience preferred. + Minimum of 5 years experience with, or exposure to, business functions such as compliance, legal, regulatory affairs, government affairs, and finance. + Builds strong relationships with peers and cross functionally with partners outside of team to enable higher performance. + Learns, fast, grasps the 'essence' and can change the course quickly where indicated. + Raises the bar and is never satisfied with the status quo. Individual compensation paid within this range will depend on many factors including geographic location, and we may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range.
