Purpose:

The Associate Director, Technical Project Leader is responsible for leading the planning, execution, and delivery of projects that align with the strategic goals of Patient Engagement. We are at the forefront of digital transformation, dedicated to delivering innovative solutions that will broaden the reach and education of clinical trials to representative populations globally, with the goal of accelerating enrollment. The Associate Director is responsible for managing scope, timeline, budget, and key stakeholder communication of technical projects. This role will collaborate across multiple functions and third parties to deliver industry-leading technical solutions. This work has high visibility within the organization and enables key strategic growth initiatives.

Technical Leadership:

Understand business strategies, processes, technology as it relates to patient engagement.

Accountable for collaborating with the Digital Senior Director to translate digital strategy technical needs into requirements for solution development.

Function as the primary liaison between project stakeholders, including senior management and technical teams.

Collaborate closely with Tech@Lilly, third-party vendors, and UX teams to translate business requirements into technical specifications.


Project Management:

Develop detailed project plans, including scope, objectives, timelines, and resource allocation.

Coordinate and lead project meetings, ensuring clear communication and understanding of project goals among all stakeholders.

Develop and maintain project management documentation, including project charters, status reports, and lessons learned.

Serve as the main point of contact for stakeholders, facilitating communication and managing expectations throughout the project lifecycle.

Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure project success and sustainability.

Allocate and manage resources effectively, ensuring that project milestones are met within the defined budget and timeframe.

Track project performance and deliver regular status updates to stakeholders, utilizing project management tools and methodologies.

Create a culture of partnership and shared learning to identify best practices and standardize approaches to drive efficiency and optimized value. 


Minimum Qualification Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in a scientific or health related field (or equivalent degree).

Min 5 years’ experience in project management in the pharmaceutical industry in drug development.


Other Information/Additional Preferences:

Prior experience in managing complex/cross-functional projects.

Proven ability to translate customer/stakeholder insights and strategies into effective implementation/communication plans.

Knowledge of emerging health care related services and capabilities for clinical research.

Proven ability to influence teams and meet deadlines.

Strong strategic and critical thinking skills.

Excellent interpersonal, communication, organizational, and negotiation skills.

Ability to collaborate effectively across a highly matrixed organization.

Successful history in implementing large-scale global programs and managing tactical work plans.

Project Management Professional (PMP) certification, with experience in Agile/Scrum methodologies

Minimal travel required: 0-10%
