Ranked 35 among national universities, Boston College has 888 full-time and 1,281 FTE faculty, 2,711 non-faculty employees, an operating budget of $1.4 billion, and an endowment in excess of $3.5 billion. **Job Description** The **Associate Director, Procurement Services** , leads, directs, and participates in efforts that lead to cost optimization, improved quality, and enhanced innovation through the development of strategic sourcing initiatives, effective contracting, negotiation tools, and specification development. This position will also develop standard processes and expected levels of execution related to the development of functional and category strategic sourcing programs, and will oversee the execution of vendor selection. The Associate Director manages the Procurement teams responsible for the strategic sourcing of all commodities and services by providing oversight to team members efforts in market assessments, RFP, bid strategy development, supplier negotiations, and contract development and implementation activities. In addition will be responsible for strategic cost management requiring extensive cross-functional interface within the University community, and will furnish procurement analysis and cost data for planning, budgeting, and other functional duties. The Associate Director acts in a consultative role and works with departments throughout the University by determining how the Procurement organization can assist in achieving their goals by understanding each department’s unique purchasing needs and budgets, and developing sourcing plans and strategies that best meets those needs. This position is also the primary conduit for the multiple Consortium partnerships of the University and uses his/her knowledge of spend and technology in order to lower costs for Consortium members and the University. Full-Time Equivalent Hiring Range: $118,350 to $147,950; salary commensurate with relevant experience. **Requirements** + A Bachelor’s degree is required.
