Associate Director, Project Management
**Job Description** The Global Engineering Solutions (GES) group is seeking an Associate Director of Project Management to lead capital projects within a portfolio supporting our Animal Health manufacturing and research facilities. The Associate Director will manage construction projects and collaborate with our site Leadership teams, contractors, Safety, Design, Quality and Maintenance teams and support a wide variety of capital projects. This position is based in the heart of the Midwest (Elkhorn, NE/ DeSoto, KS) and offers an exciting opportunity for 50% travel across several U.S. Animal Health sites, including Ames, IA; Worthington, MN; Millsboro, DE; and Prince Edward Island, Canada. **Responsibilities:** + **Lead Capital Projects:** Take charge of planning, directing, and organizing resources for capital budgeting, engineering design, procurement, construction management, startup, and commissioning of new or enhanced facilities and utilities. + **Drive Team Success:** Manage an integrated project team, ensuring the timely delivery of critical assets while adhering to budget constraints. + **Innovate and Deliver:** Develop robust execution plans and design strategies that address project scopes and provide effective business solutions. + **Enhance Communication:** Manage communications and reporting efficiently, ensuring stakeholders are informed and aligned throughout the project lifecycle. + **Risk Management:** Lead risk management and mitigation efforts to ensure seamless project execution, from inception to close-out. **Qualifications:** + **Education:** A bachelor’s degree in engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Engineering Management. + **Experience:** A minimum of 10 years of project management experience, overseeing diverse capital projects from design through to construction, commissioning, and handover. + **Communication Skills:** Exceptional verbal and written communication skills to present project statuses and funding details clearly and effectively. + **Problem-Solving Abilities:** Strong decision-making skills with a knack for change management and team alignment. + **Team Player** : Ability to thrive in a collaborative environment that prioritizes business needs. **Preferred Qualifications:** + Familiarity with Lean Project Delivery Methodologies (like target value design and pull planning) is a plus. + Experience with bioprocessing equipment and unit operations such as bioreactors and hygienic utilities is highly regarded. \#EBRG Current Employees apply HERE (https://wd5.myworkday.com/msd/d/task/1422$6687.htmld) Current Contingent Workers apply HERE (https://wd5.myworkday.com/msd/d/task/1422$4020.htmld) **US and Puerto Rico Residents Only:** Our company is committed to inclusion, ensuring that candidates can engage in a hiring process that exhibits their true capabilities.
