And together, we must leverage the strength of our team to collaborate globally to optimize connections and share best practices across the Tech Centers.Role OverviewThe SAM Technical Lead will be part of the center led Software Asset Management Service to ensure compliant, cost effective and efficient utilization of software in partnerships with Software Owners across our company. The position will manage the overall SAM Tool administration including maintenance and reporting to include inventory, ad hoc audits, and periodic audits to ensure compliance. The position will also lead a team of analysts focused on data capture and ingestion, data management, and reporting.The position acts as the key leader within the SAM Service to ensure the alignment and maturity development of overall SAM tool and data capabilities within the enterprise. Further, this role provides an initial point of escalation point for any technical issues that arise from day-to-day management of the SAM service data, including, but limited to, prioritizing the analyst team’s activities.Our company is driving a multi-year IT transformation that requires an operationally and technically focused SAM Service to support the effective utilization of third-party software as underpinning technologies in support of our broader overall IT initiatives of moving to the cloud, data and analytics and an agile product team centric operating mode as key elements of the IT change.In addition, this role is expected to work as an advocate and expand the utilization of SAM services and data as a foundational element within IT to deliver breakthrough results, driving overall innovation and automation.This position operates as a business partner proposing ideas and innovative solutions that enable new organizational capabilities through the efficient management of software products. We collaborate internationally to deliver the services and solutions that enables the commercialization of our medicines, vaccines, and Animal Health products.What will you do in this roleExplore opportunities with various IT Teams (ITRMS, C&IT, GEUS, etc.), to implement enterprise-wide technologies to assist with ITAMContinually evaluate the current ITAM tools capability relative to others internally or within the marketplaceResearch opportunities to standardize software products across the organization to reduce the cost of software assetsSupports the build and maintenance of the software catalog via integrations with the ITAM toolContinuously evaluate existing IT tools and platforms that can either be integrated into the ITAM tool to enhance the data within the target systemsCoordination with IT & Business stakeholder owners to understand who the ITAM tool can better meet our company’s needsSelects and manages all the systems, tools and processes that are required to deliver software license management servicesAct as a liaison with other teams providing data and insightsSupports the creation and maintenance of technical documentation for the ITAM tool (e.g., tool architecture, user guides)Responsible for generating ad hoc reports, queries from ITAM ToolEnsures that inventories are kept up to dateTracks and monitors the creation, maintenance, and decommissioning of Technology assets to ensure ITAM tool reports are complete and accurateSupport software inventory, license compliance calculation, reclamation, and optimization effortsSupports the systematic gathering of additional inventory, license, deployment, or entitlement data so that license compliance be calculatedCurrent Employees apply HERE
