What you will do:
At PPD, we understand that matching the right patient to the right protocol at the right time enhances a patient’s probability to enroll in a study. The Associate Director, Site & Patient Engagement and Digital Screening (known internally as the Associate Director, MATCH Ambassador) provides strategy and support to the Digital Screening and Engagement teams for site and patient consultation. Our ambassadors support the patient and/or site throughout the pre-screening activity, at every step promoting site and patient quality.
This is a site and client-facing role that serves as a Patient Recruitment expert to ensure customized screening and engagement models that are most effective for unique study needs.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop processes and tools for the screening and engagement strategy and contribute to the expansion of our Screening and Engagement capabilities.Uses systems, tools, and reports to identify trends in risks and/or issues that present opportunities to leverage the team influence and expertise.Serves as the sponsor’s point of contact and escalation point for all issues. Communicate with sponsors regularly to identify potential problem areas and act quickly to remove the risk/resolve the issue.Supports vendor management at the governance level and contributes to the compilation of goals and business plan objectives for the strategic partnership.Partners globally to develop new business and to deliver existing business. Achieve overall financial goals (sales/repeat business, revenue, and profitability).Lead on key account development, driving the strategy behind our solutions and representing the department at bid defenses, ensuring realization of the department vision.Develops excellent working relationships with internal colleagues and leaders responsible for the delivery of projects to improve information exchange, project delivery, and understanding between groups. Ensures coordination across geographies, therapeutic areas, and functions.Manage staff, which may include interviewing and selection, job description preparation, professional development, goal setting, performance management, coaching and mentoring, employee counseling, and separations. Approves courses of action on salary administration, hiring, corrective action, and terminations. Reviews and approves time records, expense reports, requests for leave, and overtime.
Education and Experience:
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Strong knowledge of patient recruitment and the clinical development lifecycle.Good knowledge of cross functional operational execution and understanding the implications of changes between functions, being comfortable in offering alternative operational strategies.Excellent knowledge of the business development cycle and ability to hold a leading role.Creative thinker that can consolidate complex strategies into condensed focused deliverables.Ability to develop business cases for future adoption of Patient Recruitment solutions.Strong financial acumen with strong knowledge of budgeting, forecasting and resource management.Excellent judgment and decision-making capability with ability to apply critical and analytical thinking skills and manage complex/ambiguous situations. Strong negotiation skills.Strong people skills and ability to influence at all levels, including the capability to build strong relationships in a matrix organization.Exceptional knowledge of project management principles and applicationProficient in medical therapeutic area and medical terminologyCultural awareness with ability to work across geographies and cultures.Expert in process improvement techniques with the ability to review/consult on protocols and propose adapted PRR strategies.Capable of executing strategic plans through leveraging relationships and influencing others through strategic thinkingAt Thermo Fisher Scientific, we are committed to fostering a healthy and harmonious workplace for our employees. Able to communicate, receive, and understand information and ideas with diverse groups of people in a comprehensible and reasonable manner.Able to work upright and stationary for typical working hours. Ability to use and learn standard office equipment and technology with proficiency.Able to perform successfully under pressure while prioritizing and handling multiple projects or activities. May require as-needed travel (0-20%).The salary range estimated for this position is $120,000 - $150,000 USD. This position will also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and/or individual performance results in accordance with company policy. Actual compensation will be confirmed in writing at the time of offer.
