Overview TRC is seeking an experienced full-time Associate Director to support and grow our Sustainability Advisory Services (SAS) service line. TRC's SAS service line is a vibrant, dynamic, and fast-paced work environment that provides access to a broad spectrum of professional experiences in a company that thrives on teamwork. The service line has been growing quickly in recent years and is looking for new leader who can materially contribute to winning and delivering new business for this successful team. The Associate Director – Senior SAS Specialist at TRC Companies, Inc. is responsible for leading sustainability and ESG initiatives within the consulting team. This role involves managing ESG projects, client interactions, and business development while ensuring technical excellence and client satisfaction. The position requires a self-motivated individual with a strong commitment to sustainability and the ability to navigate complex environmental, social, and governance (ESG) frameworks and reporting standards. This new role will be responsible for obtaining, managing and executing projects in various sectors, including private equity and corporate clients. The ideal candidate will be a highly motivated individual looking for career growth and have at least 15-20 years of sustainability experience. Responsibilities Collaborate and coordinate with TRC personnel, offices and different practices throughout the US, UK, and global offices. Build relationship across TRC sectors and business units to identify ESG and Sustainability opportunities. Support cross-service line, cross-region collaboration with the Climate Risk and Resilience (CRR) and Energy Transition Projects (ETP) teams. Collaborate with internal professionals to create ESG and sustainability content and tools/models development. Promote and sell a portfolio of ESG and Sustainability services to current and target clients at multinational corporations and private equity firms. Develop and propose on ESG and Sustainability offerings for clients. Manage deliverables including Sustainability / ESG reports, Roadmaps and double materiality assessments. Manage the collection, validation, calculation, and aggregation of ESG data for reporting. Conduct audits of ESG related policies, programs and certificates. Oversee research and peer benchmarking to support strategic planning, goal/target setting, and facilitate stakeholders and shareholder engagement. Interact with ESG software partners. Oversee CDP climate change, biodiversity, plastics, water, and/or forest disclosures. Have deep understanding of ESG reporting frameworks such as UNGC, UNSDGs, UN-PRI, EU CSRD-ESRS, EU CDDD, EU Taxonomy, GRI, IFRS-SA, S2, IFS-SASB, IFRS-TCFD, and TNFD, including emerging frameworks from NGOs e.g. Capitals Coalition. Have deep understanding of the spectrum of ESG and Sustainability topics, including: Biodiversity, Human Capital, Water Scarcity, Carbon Insets, Value Chain ESG Risk, etc. Contribute and enhance our team's current knowledge of ESG. Identify emerging ESG trends and legislation and incorporate them into ESG strategy. Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience. Minimum of 15-20 years of sustainability and ESG implementation experience, leading and managing complex sustainability projects for multinational corporations, financial institutions, private equity and/or their legal counsel. Experience with managing and executing projects in various sectors with Private Equity and corporate clients is required. ESG Due Diligence experience is a plus. Knowledgeable of issues within TRC's key client sectors, particularly Industrials, Chemicals, Oil & Gas, Petro-Chemical, and Power Generation is a plus. Possess working knowledge of transactional due diligence, site investigation and characterization concepts of projects. Excellent writing, communication, strategic thinking, and "people" skills and the ability to navigate a dynamic work environment required. Self-motivated and results oriented, with a positive, “can do” attitude. Compensation: In accordance with local law, the below salary range is applicable for the job and location associated with this requisition. Compensation will vary based upon experience, education, skill level, geographical location, and other compensable factors. Other Compensation: Employee may be eligible for participation in the Company’s annual Discretionary Bonus Program which is contingent on Company, Business Segment, and Individual performance against Key Performance Indicators which vary by year and employee.
