Job Description
We are seeking a passionate and skilled Product Manager to join our team dedicated to developing innovative Scientific Data Management and Analytical solutions that drive advancements in Bio-Pharma Research. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and implementing solutions for data management, including data movement, transformation, insights and governance to support Bio-Pharma Research needs. This product team will leverage enterprise capabilities to service research needs and only enable solutions to fill gaps or support bespoke needs of research. Product Manager will work closely with research stakeholders to understand their needs, define and groom backlog, and enable solutions in an agile fashion.
Key Responsibilities:
Platform Engineering Capability: Help establish robust platform engineering practices to ensure high reliability and performance of D&A solutions for the research community.Collaborative Requirements Gathering: Engage with research stakeholders to understand their data management needs, transforming insights into clear, actionable backlog items.Agile Backlog Management: Lead the definition, prioritization, and grooming of the product backlog, ensuring a smooth and efficient development process.Strategic Partnership: Build strong relationships with enterprise teams, influencing the roadmap of data and analytics (D&A) and cloud products to align with research objectives.Vision and Roadmap Development: Create a comprehensive product strategy and roadmap that supports the organization’s goals and enhances research efficiency.Cost Management: Take ownership of the total cost of ownership for solutions and services, ensuring they are cost-effective and aligned with user needs.Investment Decisions: Evaluate potential investments with a focus on user value, balancing business goals with user requirements.Cross-Functional Leadership: Lead a diverse team of product analysts and engineers, fostering collaboration to deliver high-quality, reliable solutions that meet stakeholder needs.Requirements:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field.Strong understanding of hyperscaler technologies (AWS preferred), with previous hands-on engineering or solution architecture experience preferred.Familiarity with data governance, transformation, and analytics.Agile Methodologies: Experience in agile development practices (e.g., Scrum, Kanban) and familiarity with product management tools like Jira.Communication Skills: Exceptional ability to convey both technical and non-technical concepts clearly to diverse audiences, fostering an inclusive and collaborative environment.Leadership & Mentorship: Proven capability to recruit, lead, and mentor talent, contributing to a positive team culture and fostering professional growth.Delivering solutions that provide best value for a given budget, ability to prioritize in context of cost and value delivered. A minimum of 3 years in a leadership position (Product or Team), guiding cross-functional teams.Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working with biopharma research stakeholders or within the biopharmaceutical industry.Demonstrated ability to innovate and think strategically about product development.Why Join Us?
