The Associate Director, U.S. BAVENCIO Marketing, is a crucial role within the commercial team and will be responsible for developing and executing key strategies, programs, and tactics to support the commercial success of BAVENCIO. This requires possessing the ability to rapidly develop deep therapeutic area insights and an understanding of the urothelial carcinoma (UC) market as well as key attributes of BAVENCIO to help position the product appropriately in a competitive and dynamic market.

This role will involve cross-functional collaboration, project management skills, and require the selected individual to become a champion for the brand both internally and externally.  This position reports to the Director, Brand Lead of BAVENCIO Marketing and will work in close partnership with the broader U.S. Oncology Marketing Team.


Location: Onsite requiring 3 days in the office.  The office is located in Boston, MA (Seaport area).

 

Your Role
Responsibilities:

Lead annual HCP strategic planning and develop tactical plans for key market-shaping and branded activities, determine budgets, timelines and metrics for program success to ensure brand launch success in collaboration with cross-functional and vendor partnersOwn the tactical development, execution and measurement of HCP personal and non-personal promotion for HCP and nurse audiencesOwn relationship with HCP Media/Digital Agency of Record and oversee strategy and execution, including targeting strategy, media asset development, and media KPI reporting and optimizationEvolve data/insights-driven omnichannel strategy and planning, including building out HCP journeys, developing personalized story flows for HCP engagement, executing omnichannel-driven engagement, and measuring performanceWork cross-functionally to develop a detailed KTL engagement strategy and plan; lead marketing-driven programs involving partnership with KTLsOversee strategic direction for HCP congresses, including identification and execution of event sponsorships, symposiums, and exhibit and conference material developmentSupport the development and execution of speaker bureau and other peer to peer educational programs directed at HCPs at congresses, lunch and learns, dinner programs, and digital execution; lead creation of all content associated with peer to peer programs including speaker decks and invitationsWork with Portfolio Marketing to manage HCP & Nurse resource printing and fulfillment in the portal (details, inventory, downloads)Work with internal and external partners to define success metrics and analyze performance of marketing programs on an ongoing basis, ensuring plans are optimized as needed to improve impact, and develop recommendations for future plansPartner with sales training and sales leadership to optimize the development and utilization of personal promotional materials and ensure materials are appropriately rolled out to field teams at both new hire and POA meetingsDeliver field force training and communications as needed, ensuring they have the knowledge and resources to effectively represent brand positioning and messagesEngage with the global marketing team to ensure alignment and appropriate US pull-through; lead integration of global UC HCP campaign into US materialsCollaborate with broader oncology marketing team to ensure strategic alignment and execution across the EMD Serono oncology portfolioEnsure legal/regulatory compliance and medical accuracy of all marketing tacticsManage agency partner relationships, workflows, and related expense budgetsManage owned budget line items on an ongoing basis and ensure spend and gating are reconciled on time & accuratelyParticipate in regular field rides and share appropriate insights back with teamOther duties as assigned

 

Who You Are
Minimum Qualifications:

BA/BS degree required7+ years (or 4+ years with advanced degree) proven experience in pharmaceutical (preferred) and/or healthcare industry brand marketing Prior in-line or equivalent U.S. HCP marketing experience, with 4+ years in a product manager role strongly desiredAbility to travel up to 30%

 

Preferred Qualifications:

Understanding of US Oncology landscape including Community Oncology and Academic Oncology dynamics, GPOs, Payer landscape, Specialty Pharmacy stakeholders Experience across multiple promotional channels (Personal, Non-Personal, Patient Marketing)Demonstrated ability and eagerness to work in a fast-paced environment, striving for excellence in everything you do, alongside a team that is driven by improving the lives of patientsProficient in digital marketing, omnichannel, and media tactics directed towards HCPsSuccessful track record in understanding the U.S. regulatory environment and navigating the MLR review processProven project and vendor management skills including budget management, planning, prioritization, objective setting, and logistics executionAdept in expense budget planning, tracking, and ROI measurementExcellent communications skills with an ability to efficiently and productively communicate both orally and in writing; track record of effective and influential presentations to external and internal stakeholdersProven ability to lead and collaborate with cross-functional teamsResults-oriented, exhibits leadership skills, and ability to influence and motivate without authorityStrong analytical, problem solving, and strategic thinking skillsHigh ethical standards and personal integrityProficiency with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel; experience with Veeva Vault and PromoMats preferredCustomer-facing experience
