What you will do:

Wholesale Client Services teams are responsible for linking the prospect/customer with the sales teams, the product expert teams and the support services of the Bank, not only to ensure that the client experience through their lifetime with the Bank is of high standards but also to make sure that the associated risks and controls are met throughout the customer relationship.

In this role you will:

The overall objective of the role is to manage multiple initiatives to enhance the processes and controls for the different teams that provide support to both CMB and GB business linesThe role includes the supervision of all projects concerning the implementation of operating models and transformation of the teams, also ensuring such teams operate under a healthy control environmentThe role is intended to function within an environment of strong connection to the commercial areas, ensuring tight alignment to the objectives of the business, whilst enabling an efficient and streamlined service to clientsThe most relevant objectives for this role are as follows:Coordination and support of the activities of Wholesale Client Service teams regarding non-BAU activitiesSupervision of all initiatives concerning the implementation of operating models and transformation projects of the involved teamsEnsuring WCS Teams operate under a healthy control environment.Establish a strong connection to the commercial areas, ensuring tight alignment to the objectives of the business, whilst enabling the right service to be deliveredEnsure the most effective process is being used end-to-end to support the requirements of the business and to meet the required controls, identify issues and gaps and put in place initiatives to improve such processesEnsure compliance with operational risk controls in accordance with HSBC or regulatory standards and policies; and optimize relations with internal control functions or external regulators for such control framework

A high level of drive to meet deadlines and targetsAbility to drive change at all levels and adaptability to an always changing onshore and offshore environmentsExcellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain global and regional relationships at all levels of the organisationGood business and operational experience – good candidates are likely to have strong relationship management or operational management skillsExcellent client facing and leadership skills with the capability to develop the solutions driven, high energy characteristics necessary to support the needs of the BusinessCultivate an environment that supports diversity and reflects the HSBC valuesA passion for excellence; both “doing the right thing” and “doing things right”Able to build strong relationships with other functions and business unitsOutstanding written and verbal communication skills both to individuals and when presenting to large forums
