As an Associate Director of Accounting within Optum Insight, you’ll join a team responsible for supporting some of the segment’s largest and most complex Market Performance Partnerships.  As a part of this role, you will collaborate closely with other finance and accounting professionals in matrixed environment to support the Company’s growth and financial objectives.  


You’ll enjoy the flexibility to work remotely * from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges. Hybrid in MN preferred.


Primary Responsibilities:

Provide operational and technical accounting expertise to ensure compliance with US GAAP, Company policies, rules, regulation and laws Collaborate with Optum Insight finance partners to drive sound business decisions Lead and managed a team of accountants and senior accountants to successfully execute roles and responsibilities including the month end and quarter end close processes Coordinate and support the Company's strategic and operational planning activities Support various special projects as required

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field 6+ years demonstrated progression in an accounting or finance focused role Experience prioritizing and managing demanding workloads with concurrent deadlines Intermediate or advanced working knowledge of US GAAP, including ASC 606 Intermediate to advanced level or proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint Proven excellent written and verbal communication skills


Preferred Qualifications:

Master’s Degree and/or CPA/CMA licensure 4+ years of public accounting experience 3+ years of supervisory experience Experience successfully managing multiple requests, assessing priorities and achieving solutions under deadlines Proven advanced analytical and information gathering skills; ability to evaluate and prioritize extensive detailed data

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
