This team works with people across our various functions & businesses worldwide to make to drive our enterprise initiatives to drive performance and transformation. We are looking for project/ program management expert with the ambition and capability to build a world class project management capability. The Capability Owner for Project Management will lead the strategy, development, and implementation of project management frameworks and methodologies across the ETO function. This role will focus on driving a consistent, integrated approach to managing projects/programs, ensuring the organization’s transformation efforts are aligned with its strategic objectives. The key purpose of this role is to elevate the capability of ETO team members and ensure highest standards are met for the capability. This role owns continuous identification, development and embedding of newer skills within project management capability (Core, Soft and Enterprise skills) as they evolve and is relevant for GSK as well ensure knowledge retention and sharing. Role Expectation: Define and establish the vision, strategy, and goals for the PM capability within the ETO function. Methodologies/ frameworks: Lead the development and maintenance of project management frameworks, methodologies, and tools that align with the organization’s strategic initiatives. Ensure tools and templates are fit for purpose for GSK Continuously assess and evolve the PM capability practices and offerings based on feedback, industry trends, best practices and evolving business needs. Capability Governance: Drive consistency in project/program delivery through standardized approaches, metrics, and governance models across portfolios. Drive capability standardization across portfolios. Ensure consistent use of capability artifacts across ETO portfolios. Capability Maturity Framework: Own and define capability maturity framework and strategy for improving capability maturity. Capability Build: Own (along with Training POCs) the effectiveness of capability trainings (core skills) - this will include the identification of training needs, creation of appropriate training materials and implementation of training plans and appropriate pedagogy and monitoring success criteria. Develop a team of change management professionals within the transformation CoE, and providing coaching, mentoring, and support to them and to talent deployed on PMs on programs to enhance their capabilities and effectiveness. Knowledge Management: Implement a knowledge-sharing platform to capture and disseminate best practices, lessons learned, and case studies related to project management. Establish a knowledge-sharing culture to leverage best practices, lessons learned, and innovative approaches to project management. Build the content for Onboarding of the new PM resources on GSK methodology and best practices. Project Management Practitioners Network: Set up and drive the communities of practice within ETO. We would like to speak to you if you have these experiences and skills. Deep subject matter expert in program management. Proven track record of delivering transformational programs on multiple large-scale programmes (e.g. SAP ERP deployments, Digital Transformation, Transformation agendas, M&A, etc.) and setting up the PM Capability. 15+ years’ experience of PM delivery. Certification in Project Management methodologies (e.g., PMP, Agile, Prince-2, etc.) is a mandatory. PM capability build - Training experience. Strategic thinking with the ability to align PM capability build to business objectives. Exceptional leadership and team-building skills, with a focus on developing and mentoring talent. Demonstrated experience in team building, mentoring, and talent development Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels. Analytical and strategic thinking with a track record of designing and implementing successful project management strategies. Knowledge of PM methodologies, tools, and industry best practices. Ability to navigate in a dynamic and fast-paced organizational environment. Ability to inspire cross-functional, virtual, global, and diverse teams. Relationship and stakeholder management, (e.g. persuading and influencing skills) Proven problem-solving and negotiation capabilities along with a process-focused perspective.
