Associate Director Commercialization

As member of Regeneron’s newly created Japan country organization, you will be responsible for supporting the creation and execution of local commercialization activities focused on the REGN sales teams across its key Dermatology, Respiratory, and Rhinology indications. This includes REGN representation in cross-alliance coordination of local commercial strategies, market development activities and driving overall performance in partnership with internal cross-functional team members. You will report directly into the Country Manager Immunology and closely cooperate with national sales leadership, including the National Sales Directors as well as the broader cross-functional brand team, local stakeholders (such as HR, Finance, Legal, Compliance, Safety, Quality, etc.), and regional and global Regeneron brand leadership. You will ensure excellent alignment and communication between key brand functions locally and help ensure that above-market leadership and support functions have the necessary insights regarding local country dynamics and performance.

A typical day might include:

Cooperation with alliance partners in implementing local commercialization strategies across therapeutic areas, including respiratory, rhinology, and dermatology.

Partnering with the sales team to provide brand strategic direction.

Providing high-quality input where required to local market development and commercial activities.

Leading the implementation of local tactical plans and the provision of marketing and sales support materials.

Ensuring a successful and productive working relationship with cross-functional colleagues and Regeneron’s co-commercialization partners

Tracking agreed KPIs to allow early course correction and ensure the execution of key tactics.

Collaborating and providing input to Regeneron’s regional and global organizations on strategies, tactics, and insights.

Ensuring close collaboration with the REGN global marketing team as part of the global brand planning process.

Leading and coaching a small team of commercialization professionals

This role might be for you if:

You have a proven track record in pharmaceutical marketing and sales management, with expertise in specialty care commercialization in Japan.

You possess strong business, analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills for engaging with leadership and tracking key KPIs/metrics.

You demonstrate excellent project and process management skills, with attention to detail and the ability to thrive in a high-paced launch environment.

You are an energetic self-starter with a pragmatic working style and exceptional planning and organizing abilities.

You are willing to travel approximately 10-20%, including weekends for conferences and meetings, as needed.

To be considered for this position, you hold a business degree, with a life science degree being a plus. You are fluent in both Japanese and English. You have accumulated 10+ years of progressive industry or relevant professional experience, including at least 5 years in pharmaceutical/biotech marketing or related fields. Experience in immunology, biologics, or specialty care is strongly preferred. Additionally, you have experience in sales operations and sales line management. Experience in dermatology and/or respiratory therapeutic areas is a plus, as is previous work within a co-promote or alliance setting. Launch experience is also a plus.
