We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as an Associate Director - Cross Channel Content and Editorial Strategist. NYU Langone Health is seeking an innovative and creative Associate Director to oversee editorial planning and day to day management of editorial content planning and content development across physician and patient audiences across our owned platforms. The ideal candidate will be an expert in digital content creation who can establish a strategic vision that leverages data audience insights and emerging technologies and best practices to support key business priorities and drive the future competitiveness of these critical marketing and communications channels. Reporting directly to the Director Cross Channel Content Strategy this role will collaborate with cross functional leaders over other marketing communications and advertising areas to craft integrated campaigns that promote NYULHs brand and storytelling both consistently and effectively
Job Responsibilities:
Content Strategy:
Assist in development of nbsp;content strategy for assigned audiences and platforms to enhance content creation distribution and optimization in a way that amplifies reach and impact; work closely with the Director of Cross Channel Content Strategy to strategize and expand presence nbsp; nbsp;Contribute to content campaign planning and support development of the institution s content strategy agenda identifying and embedding emerging trends to establish NYULH as a content leader for assigned platforms nbsp;Define and incorporate audience insights and analytics to inform content strategy better meet audience needs and improve the audience experienceDrive brand awareness engagement and business growth through compelling storytelling across online nbsp;Ensure a consistent and impactful content experience across all nbsp;assigned platforms and toolsDevelop and drive content creation for physician and patient facing audiences based on business needs/requirementsContent Development and Execution:
Develop and maintain an editorial content calendar for nbsp;assigned platforms ensuring timely and relevant content updatesManage internal and external agency partners for content developmentEnsure consistent editorial use of NYU Langone brand voice across properties nbsp;Evaluate key metrics against key performance indicators KPIs to drive data driven enhancements to content strategiesMonitor and improve audience engagementManage and execute content across Physician Focus and NewsHub websites leveraging audience insights metrics and business needsCollaboration and Leadership:
Partner with Content Strategy Lead and internal partners and peers to ensure content release schedules are aligned when required across all channels to reinforce consistent messaging and audience experienceFoster collaboration with internal and external stakeholders including world renowned physicians researchers and subject matter experts to identify opportunities for new and curated content that meets the needs of various target audiencesPartner with Brand Standards and Governance Lead to ensure all content aligns with NYULH brand guidelinesOperational Excellence:
Efficiently and effectively execute goals and priorities while adhering to organizational standards for delivering excellent workLeverage tracking tools to measure and define success compared to other institutions in specialty areasMinimum Qualifications:
10 years of experience in content strategy writing experience website platform management storytelling and communications for large organizations4 years of editorial management experience leading effective content teamsProven track record of developing and executing successful content strategies across platformsStrong understanding of website content management systems digital experience platforms and other platform technologiesStrong understanding of SEO best practices and toolsPassion for storytelling content creation and audience engagementsExcellent verbal and written communications and collaboration skills with a demonstrated track record of effective stakeholder managementAbility to understand and learn from data driven insightsProficiency in leveraging tools and platforms to improve content creation distribution and performance trackingContinuous learner with a passion for understanding new technologies e g AI Analytical mindset guiding decision makingBachelor s degree in marketing communications or related fieldPreferred Qualifications:
Marketing experience in healthcare industry Experience in the healthcare industry particularly within academic medicine demonstrating familiarity with medical terminology and the unique content needs of the sectorQualified candidates must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.

NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York state Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $117,107.95 - $195,179.92 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
