Associate Director/Devon Partnership Manager (Communities) – Exeter, Southwest

You can experience a world of opportunity and the chance to shape a career as unique as you. **A little more about your role…** The role is based in our Exeter office and requires frequent face to face contact with the client and team. + Partnership Manager for one of our key Local Authority contracts with Devon County Council. A key Client key contact including: + building and maintaining strong relationships with Devon County Council, whilst forming trusting relationships with colleagues to ensure effective co-ordination for mutually beneficial outcomes + Attending Contract Board & Operational meetings in person + Prioritising client satisfaction and monitoring Key Performance Indicators + Leading on contract negotiations + Leading the contract Senior Leadership Team and identifying opportunities for growth + Leading a team of Engineers and Technicians in our Exeter office delivering various local government highway schemes + Project Managing a portfolio of local government projects delivering local improvements to the transport network + Coordinate multi-disciplinary supporting teams in successful delivery of projects. + Co-ordinating, developing and supporting project team members in their professional and personal development, promoting a culture of continuous improvement + Being part of the WSP Communities Management Team in the Exeter office developing the local business. **Your team…** + We have a strong team which comprises members of staff, ranging from Associates to Apprentices. We work collaboratively with other WSP teams across disciplines and global locations. + Our team owns projects through their entire life cycle, from inception to construction. We have a varied workload from major highways improvements through to a diverse range of typical highway and traffic improvements. + Our primary Clients are Local Authorities within the Southwest where we have a number of long term professional services contracts. + We are passionate about supporting Local Authorities to deliver improvements for local communities, prioritising active and sustainable travel and supporting the local economy. We enjoy our work and are exceptionally enthusiastic people who are great at what we do. The Southwest has a wonderful variety of landscapes and activities to enjoy, and has good transport links to the rest of the country. **What we will be looking for you to demonstrate…** + A BEng / BSc (Hon) in Civil/Structural Engineering or other relevant qualification with experience in managing major construction projects. + A Chartered/Incorporated professional qualification in a relevant discipline. + A broad range of project experience, both within Discipline and multi-disciplinary. + Excellent inter-personal skills with good leadership and management abilities capable of communicating effectively with all parts of the business. + Strong commercial and strategic capability with a demonstrable track record in having identified and subsequently delivered new business opportunities. + Demonstrate the desire to constantly improve, motivate and encourage others, lead and implement change programmes, inspiring colleagues and drive an innovative and supportive culture. Act as a catalyst for change. + Able to establish, build, sustain and share strong, professional relationships with relevant groups both inside and outside the organisation.
