About the Role

AIA is looking to hire an experienced leader who will embed ESG organization wide and make it an enterprise-wide passion. The person is required to build a program that will align with business strategy, build knowledge, capability for AIA’s functions and unlock business value from integration of ESG into functions & markets.

The person will support the development of function and market specific plans and markets governance for ESG strategy and KPIs.

Roles and Responsibilities:

ESG Integration into Strategy

DISTRIBUTION

Work together with the Distribution Function to create and cascade education and immersion for agents on ESGDevelop marketing materials and solutions in partnership with Agency to enhance agency recruitment, enhance brand and customer equity for AIAInspire and engage agents to champion ESG and integrate into their workWork with Corporate Solutions to come up with solutions to enhance new client interest, sustain existing client engagement with AIA and drive AIA’s brand preference.Develop innovative ideas, solutions and partnerships with Banca to drive forward ESG program delivering business impactDevelop products & solutions for other channels on ESG

CUSTOMER PROPOSITIONS & EXPERIENCE

Develop ESG solutions and products fit for purpose together with marketing/ investment teams for Agents, Corporate Solutions, Banca, DigitalDevelop and implement integrated solutions to enhance Customer Experience on ESGDeliver on functional integration to hold the business accountable, includingdevelopment and communication of master ESG interaction roadmap with key functions.

MARKETS

Build community of practice within BU ESG leads and cultivate sharing of best practices and drive delivery of strategy and KPIs in BUsStrategize and hold in-market ESG workshops to deepen the localization of ESG strategy at the BU levelBusiness partner BUs to support them on their sustainability journey
 

STRATEGY/OTHER FUNCTIONAL TEAMS

Work in partnership with Strategy team to agree and implement points of convergence e.g. M&A  Anticipate, lead, and integrate ESG into functions as the ESG program matures in AIADevelop a clear roadmap of action to embed ESG into functions aover 3 years, align with business strategy and unlock value for the businessBuild partnerships to deliver value for the business e.g. MDRT x ESG

Minimum Job Requirements:

Strategic Orientation - Expressed through the ability to think long-term and beyond her/his own area. Ability to deliver roadmap of action to embed ESG into core of the business and deliver business impact S/he is able to build new initiatives by linking the sustainability needs with business capabilities from the different parts of the global organization and creating innovative solutionsTechnical Skills: Strategy, Marketing, Distribution, Partnerships with working ESG knowledge, insurance industry experience preferred S/he should also possess a working knowledge of sustainability issues, a strong track record of mining insights, developing innovative customer centric products/solutions, mobilizing sales force & agents to build brand equity and unlock business value, Track record of strategic thinking and execution capabilityCollaboration and Influencing Skills - Demonstrated by the ability to develop effective teamwork across the company, including a track-record of bringing people together across functions and departments to improve results and share best practice; the proven ability to influence stakeholders in creating and driving a compelling vision for the sustainability functionResult Orientation - Illustrated by a track record of delivering above expectations and finding new ways of having lasting impact. S/he will be a self-starter and resourceful individual who moves fast and decisively in all circumstances, becoming the driving force for making ESG a defining feature of who we areCommercial Orientation: S/he will show a passion for  impact and, at the same time, s/he will have a strong business strategy lens to identify where and how sustainability functional strategy can reinforce the company’s overall strategy and drive business goalsOther: High EQ, Effective Communicator and Influencer, Experience in insurance industry preferred for knowledge on agency, corporate solutions, digital channels, banca partnerships, Degree in relevant disciplines and master’s degree is advantageous
