About the Role

This role is pivotal in leading the company's innovation strategy through emerging technologies, ensuring the successful deployment of large-scale technology-driven transformations. Key responsibilities include:

• Strategic Emerging Technology Leadership: Drive the formulation and execution of innovation strategies, leveraging emerging technologies to deliver substantial value and competitive advantage. Lead R&D initiatives and ensure alignment with the company's goals. Scout for and establish strategic partnerships with efficient and effective technology providers to enhance implementation capabilities.

• Execution: Develop and implement clear roadmaps for technology-driven transformation across all markets. Focus on delivering impactful solutions that drive significant value and competitive advantage for the company.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Strategic Emerging Technology Leadership:

Define and periodically refresh the strategy to deliver innovation through emerging technologies.

Lead the development and implementation of new technology-driven products, solutions, and services.

Stay up to date with the latest technological advancements and evaluate their potential for the company's growth.

Scout for and establish strategic partnerships with efficient and effective technology providers to enhance implementation capabilities.

Ensure quality delivery of technology solutions and track their impact post-implementation.

Source, acquire and embed Innovation, analytics and emerging technologies to AIA Group and the LBUs

Execution:

Identify where emerging technologies can provide significant value and competitive advantage.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design solutions that address specific business needs.

Drive implementation with business units for value realization and impact creation.

Engage with internal and external stakeholders to ensure quality of solution delivery.

Develop AI/Gen AI capability frameworks and development plan

Minimum Job Requirements:

Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

Demonstrated expertise in emerging technologies and their application in business.

Proven track record of success in R&D and deploying large-scale technology-driven transformations.

Ability to establish strategic partnerships with technology providers.

20+ years of experience in technology and innovation roles.

Proven experience driving high-impact technology initiatives across complex, global organizations.

Strong leadership qualities, including presentation, influencing, and negotiation skills.

Experience in strategic planning and change project management.

Understanding of the Chinese technology landscape is an asset.

Proficient in written and spoken English essential.

Proficient in written and spoken Chinese as asset.
