Associate Director-Finance–Growth And Innovation
This role serves as a business partner and advisor to key business leaders. The role provides critical thinking on business and operating performance, financial results, forward-looking projections, and market trends to drive improved business insights and inform business decisions.
Responsibilities:
Be a 'Go To' contact for financial and operational issues while supporting Growth & Innovation Leaders and act as a trusted business adviser. Develop effective working relationships with the extended Finance team and G&I leadership. Deliver bi-weekly and monthly performance reporting, focusing on financial analysis and commentary, including insights around Sales, Pipeline and GTER. Maintain a robust leadership reporting process, and ensure commentaries are timely, concise, insightful and action orientated. Manage headcount update, effectively liaising with Talent Team to maintain data integrity. Work on improving org structure and operational model for assigned business areas. Oversee global budgeting and planning activities, summarizing financial positions and being responsible for communicating and supporting resolution of issues identified. Ensure compliance with corporate governance on spend and cost recognition. Manage Investment Portfolio fund. Develop and coordinate business templates for investment, ensure timely submission of requests, and coordinate with the SAIF team to ensure monthly spend progress and forecasts are updated. Provide regular updates to Finance and Business leadership on investment spend, communicate issues identified. Analyze and present complex financial data to support a range of business decisions in a way that is easily understandable. Pro-actively suggest ways to solve problems and to display presentations. Develop and support the delivery of presentations that engage audiences, responding to questions and concerns. Respond to requests from Finance and Business Leadership to answer specific ad hoc performance questions and provide insightful information to advance leadership discussion and decision making.
Requirements:
A minimum of 7 years of relevant experience is required to perform this position; graduate and/or professional certification in a business-related subject matter (i.e. Accounting, Finance) is required to perform this position. Strong technical skills with the ability to analyze problems, design and implement solutions independently. Advanced Excel, Power BI & PowerPoint skills - ability to understand and exploit large data sets, present analysis and results through story-telling and problem solving is vital. Comfort working in a fast-paced business with rapid growth; ability to handle ambiguity and frame and solve problems is key. Highly team-oriented approach, with flexibility regarding tasks undertaken and the ability to prioritize a number of conflicting demands to meet exacting deadlines. Strong interpersonal skills - can work alongside and gain the trust and respect of stakeholders at all levels of seniority, and excellent communication skills – written and verbal. Strong spoken and written English. Global mindset – ability to work effectively as a virtual team member. Ability and willingness to work in a multicultural and diverse environment and flex style as appropriate. Flexibility to work with different time zones. Credibility and confidence to challenge and propose better ways of doing things as well as build bridges and harmonize divergent interests and priorities. Understanding of EY business model and reporting systems.
